Home- the word in itself brims our hearts with happiness, and after all, home is the place (and possibly the only one) where you always return, no matter what. Home doesn't only mean comfort, being with your family and being at a place which your ancestors have shed their sweat to build it, but it's also about millions of memories, right from your childhood to your death. And you know this feeling if you have been away from your home for too long. Rishi Kapoor is no exception to same. Rishi Kapoor, as we all know, has been away from her homeland of Mumbai and the Kapoor residence since September 2018. Along with his wife, Neetu Kapoor, he has been living in New York because of his cancer treatment. It was on May 31, 2019, when Rishi Kapoor had tweeted an emotional post about missing his home. He had tweeted, "Today I complete eight months here in New York. When will l ever get home?" And people who have lived outside their home could emotionally relate to Rishi ji.

But there is happy news for his fans, and obviously for Rishi Kapoor himself. As per a DNA report, Rishi Kapoor is all set to come back home to Mumbai this month. As much elated we are upon hearing this awesome news, we are sure his wife, Neetu Kapoor and their children- Ranbir Kapoor and Riddhima Kapoor Sahni, must be equally. However, another media report has suggested that Rishi Kapoor will return to Mumbai in the month of September. The report has claimed, "A source tells us that the veteran artiste is on his way to recovery and will be returning to India this September."
Rishi Kapoor, in a recent interview with the Deccan Chronicle, had shared how his family has been really supportive of him all this while. He was quoted as saying, "Neetu has stood by me like a rock. Otherwise, I am too difficult a person to handle as far as food and drink are concerned. My kids Ranbir and Ridhima have really shouldered my problems."

Rishi Kapoor is known for his candidness on Twitter and his infamous temperament. In the interview, he had also talked about the same and how his patience was never exhausted, "A person like me who has never had patience, this is God’s way to teach me patience. Rishi ji had further retorted, “My eighth month of treatment started on May 1 in the US. But God has been kind! I am in remission, meaning now I am cancer-free. I will have to do a bone marrow transplant, which in all probability should take another two months minimum. Being in remission is a big thing and it’s all because of my family and my fans prayers and duas that have worked. I thank them all.”
Rishi ji's son, Ranbir Kapoor, during the Zee Cine Awards which concluded recently had talked about his father and had said, “Whenever I speak to him, he only talks about movies. He only talks about ‘how is this film?’, ‘how is this film doing?’, ‘how is this performance?’, what are you doing in this scene? And more so, he speaks to me about his insecurities that when he gets back, will he get to work in movies? Whether people will offer him films? Will he be able to act in movies?”
It was last year on September 29, 2018, when Rishi Kapoor had hinted that he is battling with an ailment. He had also shared that he is taking a sabbatical from work. He had tweeted, “Hello all! I am taking a short leave of absence from work to go to America for some medical treatment. I urge my well-wishers not to worry or unnecessarily speculate. It’s been 45 years ‘plus’ of wear and tear at the movies. With your love and good wishes, I will be back soon.”
Neetu Kapoor, on New Year 2019, had shared a family picture from their celebrations and had hinted about Rishi Kapoor's cancer then. Sharing the following picture, she had written, “Happy 2019 no resolutions only wishes this year !!! Less pollution traffic!! Hope in future cancer is only a zodiac sign !!!
