In the era where people suffer from commitment phobia, Bollywood couple, Riteish Deshmukh and Genelia Deshmukh's love for each other is what millennials look for in a relationship. Well, not just do they share lovey-dovey pictures, but they can also be seen cracking jokes at each other or taking the memes made on them in their stride. A 16-year-old, Genelia DSouza, had fallen for 24-year-old, Riteish on the sets of their film, Tujhe Meri Kasam. And there was no looking back since then.
A few months back, a video had gone viral over the internet in which Genelia Deshmukh could be seen getting jealous of her husband, Riteish Deshmukh, who had hugged the Bollywood actress, Preity Zinta, at the red carpet of an award function. The video was titled as “If ghar chalo batati hoon had a face.” Well, the couple had taken the meme to another level as Genelia had shared a video of what had happened at home, obviously in a fun manner. In the video, we could see the actress beating her husband, who had later tried to pacify her by singing, “Tera naam liya… Tujhe yaad kiya…” Genelia had captioned the video as “Wanna know what happened back home?”

Recently, Riteish and Genelia graced Arbaaz Khan's talk show, Pinch season 2. On the show, the host read out some of the comments directed towards the celebrities by the netizens, and one such comment suggested Genelia to beat Riteish with a slipper due to the viral Preity Zinta video. However, after hearing this comment, Riteish had the most hilarious reaction ever and that left Arbaaz in splits.
Taking a dig at the social media user, Riteish said, what wrong did a jhaadu do that Genelia should beat him with a slipper. He said, ''Matlab jhaadu ne kya bura kiya jo tum bol rahe ho slipper se maare.'' Besides this, Riteish also reacted to another comment where a user asked him to focus on his wife. Giving a befitting reply, Riteish said, ''Main yehi kahunga ki aap bhi apni biwi pe focus karein, meri biwi pe nahi.''

During their stint on the show, Genelia Deshmukh and Riteish Deshmukh also revealed the back story of the event that had made the actress give that expression. She explained that her legs were hurting as she was dolled up for the event and had worn high heels. However, the cameraperson had recorded her expression of discomfort. Riteish, on the other hand, said, ''Bhool gaya tha ki peeche my lady was there.''
When the love birds had graced The Kapil Sharma Show with their presence, Genelia and Riteish had spilt some beans on their relationship. He had stated an incident when he had wanted to pull off a prank on Genelia during their dating days and how it had gone wrong. Riteish had said that once he had texted her that they should break up. Genelia had got so serious after receiving the message that Riteish had vowed never to joke to her about such matters.

For the unversed, Riteish and Genelia had tied the marital knot in 2012.
