RJ Ashish Sharma Pens 'Dum Ghutt Raha Hai' After Wife's Death, Fans Say 'Had No Clue He Was Married'

RJ Ashish Sharma's penned a heart-wrenching obituary weeks after his late wife, Ruchi Sharma passed away on April 7, 2025. However, it was his fans who were unaware that he was married. Amidst the shocking news, one of RJ Ashish's former classmate, who knows a lot about his relationship with his wife, Ruchi claimed that she died by suicide amidst their divorce battle.

Taking to his Instagram handle, Ashish shared a note and a couple of unseen picture with his wife, Ruchi over the course of their dating and marriage. The RJ-turned-influencer also shared how he met Ruchi when he was an 18-year-old and fell head over heels in love with her. However, it was Ashish's note that showed he loved Ruchi immensely. But it is worth noting that Ashish didn't mentioned the cause of death of his wife, and tagged it as 'tragic incident'.

In his heart-wrenching note, Ashish revealed how he feels deep sorrow in his heart to share his wife's death news with the world. He prayed hard that it was a nightmare and his wife would still be with him. He further requested everyone to pray for his wife and bless her. He wrote:

"Dum ghutt raha hai ye batane mein, she’s no more. Can’t believe it, don’t want to believe it. Kaash bol sakta, it’s just a nightmare but it’s not. With folded hands, I request one and all to pray for her and bless her. Hope, she’s happy and healthy, smiling and shining the brightest. Always in our hearts. RIP Ruchi."

However, it was the netizens who were left shock with Ashish's last goodbye note for his wife, Ruchi. One user wrote, "I don’t know this man. I went through is profile, seems weird. No signs of her or their kid. Filled with random reels with girls half of his age." Another one commented, "Man oh man, so people were clueless that he was married? Yeah right, cause he never posted her or even said he was married." A third user penned, "Their common friend has posted a comment that she was under emotional turmoil owing to their on going divorce and stayed separately with her son."

It was Ashish Sharma's former classmate, who revealed teh entire truth about Ruchi Sharma's death in a now-deleted comment. The user shared that Ashish had omitted a crucial fact in his wife's obituary, claiming that their relationship was on the verge of breaking.  The classmate shared that Ashish's wife was living separately with their 12-year-old son amid the ongoing divorce battle. The same person shared that due to the emotional turmoil she decided to end her life. A part of the user's comment can be read as:

"However, I do believe a half-truth can be more harmful than a complete lie. In your obituary you ommited significant aspects — the broken relationship, Ruchi's emotional struggles, her living separately with her 12-year-old son, the on-going divorce case between you two and the way she committed suicide. Had you included these, you could have been honest to Ruchi, to your followers and to your relationship."
