Famous American comedian and actor, Robin Williams, died by suicide in August 2014. He was 63 at that time, and people remember him even in 2025. He was diagnosed with Lewy Body Dementia and Parkinson's disease before his death. Robin could not even remember his lines, and reportedly, depression was a cause of his suicide. Apart from Robin's professional life being discussed, Robin's married life was also always discussed. There was gossip doing the rounds about why a healthy Hollywood star would end his life, and reports floating online stated that he was battling substance abuse.

Robin's loss in the world of Hollywood had left a pain in the hearts of many. He remains etched in the memories of all his fans as well as his family members. The actor passed away in 2014, leaving behind his three kids- Zak, 41, Zelda, 35, and Cody, 32, who also like their father entered the movie industry. Robin's memory is also kept alive by his three wives, who have all confessed to having a complex relationship with the late actor. It was back in 1976, when Robin, who was not famous at that time, worked as a bartender, and his love story with Valerie Velardi began.

Valerie and Robin's relationship flourished after his live-in relationship with comedian, Elayne Boosler ended back in 1978. Valerie and Robin then got married and were blessed with a son whom they named, Zak. Back in 2018, in the documentary titled, Robin Williams: Come Inside My Mind, Valerie did confess to being cheated upon by Robin when they were together. She turned a blind eye and shared:

"He loved women. Absolutely loved women. And I got it. I understood and I wanted him to have that, but I also wanted him to come home."

Robin Williams then fell for his young son, Zack's nanny, Marsha Graces and made her pregnant

Robin Williams, after cheating on Valerie, then in 1984, met Marsha Graces. She worked as a nanny for Robin's son, Zak, who was the son of his ex-wife, Valerie. While Marsha used to look after small Zak, over time, Robin and Marsha's relationship became very intimate. They had a scandalous extramarital affair, reportedly, and according to Hello Magazine, it was in late 1988 when Marsha became pregnant with Robin's child, and things went further. Although Valerie in Come Inside My Mind shared that Marsha and Robin began seeing each other after Robin and Valerie got separated.

It was in April 1989, when Marsha was six months pregnant with her and Robin's child, that he got married to her. Both together were blessed with a daughter, Zelda and another son, Cody. Marsha then, after being a nanny, worked as a production assistant on Robin's movies such as Good Morning, Vietnam and Dead Poets Society. Together, they also founded Blue Wolf Productions, and in 2008, the pair separated, citing "irreconcilable differences." It was in 2010 when the divorce was finalised. Despite all the controversies surrounding Robin's personal life, his wives always had a high regard for him, reportedly.

Robin Williams met his third wife, Susan Schneider Williams, at the Apple store

Robin then met graphic designer, Susan Schneider Williams, back in 2011, reportedly at the Apple store, and they stayed together until he passed away in 2014. Since his demise, Susan has passionately advocated for Lewy Body Dementia, which had made the actor forget his lines on sets, which reportedly also caused him depression. Susan, in the loving memory of her husband, as a dedicated wife, had also released a documentary called, Robin's Wish that showcased his last few days of his life, before Robin put an end to himself. The late comedian was known to fuel laughter in his sea of fans, battled addiction, and his dementia was undetected.
