In a piece of heartbreaking news, India's ace fashion designer, Rohit Bal passed away on November 1, 2024. He breathed his last at a hospital in South Delhi and the cause of his demise was a cardiac arrest. A friend of the top designer had told NDTV that, Rohit was admitted to the ICU a week ahead of his last show in October, 2024. Bal had been discharged, but then when he was admitted at Delhi's Aashlok Hospital on October 30, 2024, he could not survive. Now, Bollywood stars have been mourning the loss of the famous designer. Stars like Sonam Kapoor, Ananya Panday, and many more shared heartfelt tributes to the late designer.

Rohit Bal's demise has shocked the Bollywood and fashion film fraternity. Sonam Kapoor penned an affectionate post for 'Gudda' . She mentioned in her post that she was blessed to have known him, worn his collection, and walked for him multiple times. Sonam's post read:

"Dear gudda l hear about your passing on my way to celebrate Diwali in your gorgeous creation that you generously lent to me for the second time I've been blessed to have known you and worn you and walked for you multiple times. I hope you 'Re at peace. Always your biggest fan.'

Ananya Panday and Sushmita Sen are heartbroken over Rohit Bal's demise.

Ananya Panday was Rohit Bal's 'last' muse during his comeback with the, Lakme Fashion Week 2024 show. She shared a picture from the show and captioned it, "Gudda Om Shanti." Sushimita Sen, also mourned the late designer's demise. She shared a throwback picture with Rohit and wrote, "An indomitable spirit & what a pioneer. Rest in peace, #rohitbal."

Priyanka Chopra Jonas, Kareena Kapoor Khan and Masaba remember Rohit Bal

Rohit Bal was a gem in the fashion industry, and he passed away at 63. Kareena shared old pictures of Bal on her story, coupled with a heart emoji. Priyanka mourned the designer's demise and wrote on her Instagram story, "Gone too young. Rest peacefully #rohitbal." Masaba Gupta had written on her Instagram, "RIP 1961 to 2024."

Sidharth Malhotra, Anil Kapoor and Aditi Rao Hydari pay tribute to Rohit Bal

Actor, Sidharth Malhotra had once walked the ramp for the ace designer, posted a picture with Rohit and wrote that the loss had saddened him. Aditi Rao Hydari commented, "Rest in style, in peace," in her post. However, Sonam Kapoor's father, Anil Kapoor, shared an emotional note on his Instagram stories. It read: 

“Heartbroken to hear about Rohit Bal's passing. A true artist and visionary, he crafted iconic costumes for a song in Nayak and brought unmatched creativity to Indian fashion always. His legacy will live on. Rest in peace."

Karan Johar pays a humble tribute to the master of creativity, Rohit Bal

Rohit Bal was known for merging contemporary designs and celebrating India's rich, pompous heritage in his work. Karan Johar, who has been saddened by Rohit's demise, took to Instagram to post a picture of him wearing a sherwani by the ace designer. He wrote how Rohit's work was extraordinary. His post read:

"I saw Gudda's collection and show and as always marveled at what a stunning artist, craftsman, and fashion legend he is," Johar wrote. About him, "This I say with my heart full and present tense for his art and invaluable gift to fashion lives on now and evermore."
