Romit Raj is a dashing actor well known for his roles in serials like Adalat and Chalti Ka Naam Gaadi. His boyish looks may convince you that he is unmarried. While, you will be surprised to know that he is not just happily married to Tina Kakkar, a media professional, but is also a doting father to an adorable little girl named Rehaa.

Romit had known Tina long before they started dating. He was introduced to her through a common friend while he was already dating and all set to marry a popular television actress, Shilpa Shinde, who was last seen in Bhabhi Ji Ghar Par Hai as Angoori Devi. But, things didn't work out between them and the marriage was called off. While he was going through the emotional turmoil in his life, he once spoke to Tina who he hadn't met personally until now and love just happened.
In an interview with The Times of India, here's what Romit had to say about the beginning of their beautiful relationship:
"I had come to know about Tina three years back through a common friend. We exchanged our contact information and were in touch on email, but we never spoke or met. However, it was only recently that I spoke to her on the phone and expressed my desire to meet her. I went to Pune to meet her and the moment I saw her, I fell in love with her. I was equally surprised. She is a person whom I knew for three years but never interacted with. But I think it was destined to happen."
It was not just Romit who felt the connection right after they met in person. Tina also felt something similar. In an interview with the Asian Age, she recalls:
"Cupid struck in our initial conversations itself, when we realised there was so much we had in common and that all our boxes were being ticked. Both of us are from Kolkata, we’re Punjabis, we have similar family backgrounds, similar upbringings, and our common love for acting and films did wonders."

Moving on from a relationship where you had almost reached the altar isn’t easy. Romit faced the issue. While he wanted to move on with Tina, he was confused if it was a rebound relationship or he really was in love with her. His feelings were quite obvious when, in an interview with The Times of India, he said:
"It all happened so suddenly. All the while I kept asking myself whether I really love her or I'm on the rebound after my failed relationship with Shilpa Shinde. But Tina is the most beautiful thing to have happened to me."
While Romit was trying to figure out if his love for Tina was genuine or not, Tina had to deal with his baggage of past relationship. And she handled it gracefully saying:
"The past is past, I am your present and will be your future. So these things do not matter."

For this couple, things went really fast, they had a courtship period of just three months before getting married. Their family wanted them to get married quickly and so they did in a beautiful poolside wedding with Punjabi rituals. When Romit was asked to share his fondest memories from the wedding, he spoke to the Asian Age:
"When I put sindoor on Tina for the first time."
Tina was equally happy during her wedding. She shares:
"Every moment was special, I always wanted a pool-side wedding — and my parents did give me a dream wedding. Also I have never enjoyed any other sangeet as much as I did my own, and also Romit and I danced the most! It all seemed like a Bollywood film. Also, the moment when I had to leave, the bidaai — we did that very quickly — I think Romit and my dad did that purposely, which was good."
Romit and Tina's world revolves around their adorable angel, who they have named Rehaa. The dashing father's Twitter handle is full of pictures of father and daughter bonhomie. Romit loves to tell her stories, sing poems with her and play all sorts of games with Rehaa. Their girl completes their family.
