Son of Sardaar 2 was released on August 1, 2025, starring Ajay Devgn and Mrunal Thakur in the lead roles. Spiritual sequel to the 2012 film, Son of Sardaar, this is a multi-starrer comedy movie that also features Ravi Kishan, Neeru Bajwa and the late actor, Mukul Dev. The supporting cast of seasoned actors and actresses is being lauded by viewers due to their epic comedy timing. However, among these experienced starcast, a new face has equally shone in the film.
This new star is none other than the former child actress, Roshni Walia. Her face might be a new one on the big screen, but Roshni has been a part of the entertainment industry since she was 7 years old. Now, as a 23-year-old, she has marked her debut in Bollywood as a grown-up. Here's everything to know about her professional and personal life before Son of Sardaar 2 debut.
Roshni Walia was born on September 20, 2001, in Prayagraj, Uttar Pradesh. In an interview with Hauterfly, the actress got candid about her family life and revealed that her parents were divorced. Roshni praised her mother, Sweety Walia, who was the only one to raise her and her older sister, Noor. She also stated that her father has his own family, and she is respectful of that. Roshni said that apart from her sister and mother, her friends and their parents are a part of her chosen family.
Talking about their family's struggles, Roshni gave credit to her mother for relocating to Mumbai with two children, even though everyone doubted her. The actress said that everyone mocked her mother, but she stood resilient and proved them wrong. In the interview, Roshni was quoted as saying:
“Mera toh yahi kehna hai ki mere bure waqt mai sabse zyada meri maa ne sath diya hai aur unka sath humne diya hai. Yahi humari family hai."
Roshni had earned her first pay cheque of Rs. 7000 at the age of seven when she acted in a commercial. Then in 2012, she marked her debut in important roles in both the TV and film industry. She starred as 'Jiyana' in the now-defunct channel Life OK's show, Main Lakshmi Tere Aangan Ki. Around this time, she also played the role of 'Lucky' in My Friend Ganesha 4. Roshni also played smaller but important roles in popular shows like Balika Vadhu and Devon Ke Dev...Mahadev.
