Royal Challengers Bengaluru and Uttar Pradesh fast bowler, Yash Dayal, has found himself in hard waters. Reports have been rife that the cricketer has been booked under Section 69 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS). According to several news agencies, he was booked on charges of sexual exploitation, physical violence, mental harassment, and cheating by making false promises of marriage.
According to reports, Yash Dayal has been booked under Section 69 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, which addresses sexual acts carried out under false pretences. For the unversed, such pretences could include misleading promises of marriage or job offers. These acts are considered fraudulent and exploitative and can lead to a prison sentence of up to ten years. The news has left everyone shocked. However, the investigation is currently underway into the matter.
According to the complaint, a woman from Ghaziabad, who remains anonymous, stated that she had been in a relationship with Yash for over five years. The complainant further claimed that Yash Dayal had introduced her to his family, who welcomed her as a 'daughter-in-law,' thereby deepening her trust. The FIR stated:
"The man emotionally, mentally, and physically exploited her by misleading her with the promise of marriage. He introduced the complainant to his family and behaved like a husband, which made her trust him completely."
The first information report was registered against cricketer, Yash Dayal, at PS Indrapuram, under BNS Section 69 on the charges of sexual exploitation, physical violence, mental harassment and cheating by making false promises of marriage. According to the complaint, when the woman realised that she was being deceived by the cricketer, she tried to protest against the relationship. However, she was subjected to physical violence and mental harassment. During the relationship, the complainant was also exploited financially and emotionally.
It was later revealed that Yash Dayal was not just deceiving this women but was also in a relationship with other girls. On June 14, 2025, the complainant called the women's helpline 181. However, the process did not move forward to the police station. Seeking justice, the woman then decided to seek justice for the mental and social distress by going to the Chief Minister's office. The victim had also shared the chat records, screenshots, video calls, and photos as evidence. The police official has stated:

"It has been requested that a swift investigation be conducted into the matter and that legal action be taken against the concerned individual. This step is not only important for her but also for all those girls who fall victim to such deceitful relationships."
