Rozlyn Khan Files Defamation Case On Ankita Lokhande's 'Cheap' Remark In Support Of Hina Khan

Rozlyn Khan is a model, actress and stage 4 cancer survivor. She has recently made headlines after she began calling out Hina Khan for using her cancer battle as a means to gain popularity. Although Hina never gave any reply to those allegations, her friend and actress, Ankita Lokhande, shared a post calling out Rozlyn's allegations against her. The situation is far from settling down, as recently Rozlyn has filed a defamation case against Ankita Lokhande's statements.

Rozlyn Khan was recently spotted near the Andheri court in Mumbai, where her lawyer accompanied her. Outside the court premises, she addressed the media and revealed that she had filed a defamation case against Ankita Lokhande, who called her 'cheap' in one of her posts. Elaborating on the issue, her lawyer said:

"Abhi unhone (Rozlyn) kuch logo ko expose karne ka initiative liya tha cancer ke naam se jo PR se publicity le rahi hai, ya usko false tareeke se portray kar rahe hai. For instance, stage 1 ya 2 ko stage 3 ya 4 dikhana, unhone expose karne ka kaam kiya. Toh uske chalte, Ankita Lokhande jo hai woh apne Instagram pe inka naam le kar kehte hai' cheap publicity' toh yeh unka koi right nahi."

Rozlyn Khan's lawyer clarified that since she was calling out Hina Khan's PR stunt, Ankita was the third party who didn't have the right to use defamatory words against Rozlyn. They also attached a screenshot of the Laughter Chef contestant's story where she called out Rozlyn. For those unaware, when Rozlyn claimed that Hina was using her stage 3 breast cancer treatment journey as a means to gain popularity, Ankita called her out. She penned:  

"How could someone think so low, my goodness… That's so cheap! For your kind information, ma'am, this girl, Hina, is fighting cancer with such bravery, and I am saying this because I know that Vikki met her a few days back in the hospital where she was taking her chemotherapy where Rocky was with her. Literally, Vikki said to me that he was in tears to see her!"

When Hina Khan announced about her cancer diagnosis and subsequent treatment, Rozlyn sat down for an interview with Bollywood Bubble and shared her views on it. She didn't hesitate to slam the Griha Laxmi actress's inconsistent statements about her treatment. She also highlighted that Hina is exaggerating her treatment and said: 

"I feel Hina Khan is simply exaggerating to get into headlines. Mastectomy is the removal of the whole breast and then reconstruction. And so far, she has given no official statement about mastectomy. It is a super major surgery that goes up to 8 to 10 hours, and in between, the samples are sent to the lab for investigation while patients are still sleeping in the operation theatre."

Hina Khan's battle against cancer 

Hina Khan is one of the most admired actresses on Indian Television and has been one of the highest-paid TV actresses. In June 2024, she left everyone in shock as she announced that she was diagnosed with stage 3 breast cancer. Since then, the actress has been openly sharing updates from her cancer treatment and challenges on the way. Amid this situation, everyone including  her fans, industry colleagues, family and boyfriend, Rocky Jaiswal, have constantly supported her.
