Back in 2004, Hats Off Productions gifted us with a forever go-to binged series, Sarabhai Vs Sarabhai, and even today, every time we watch the show, we are rolling on the floor with the wit of the mischievous prankster, Indravadan Sarabhai, the queen of sarcasm, hypocrisy and fabulousness, Maya Sarabhai, un-classy and unapologetic, Monisha Sarabhai, momma's boy, Rosesh Sarabhai and the 'normal' in this mad family, Sahil Sarabhai. However, if we had to pick a favourite, Monisha, portrayed by Rupali Ganguly, would be the show-stealer of the series without a doubt, who taught us to 'be yourself' and fearless. Rupali made her television debut with the show, Sukanya but rose to prominence with Sanjivani, with her negative role.

Since then, there has been no looking back for Rupali Ganguly as she became a household name with her shows, Bhabhi, Kkavyanjali, Kahaani Ghar Ghar Kii, Parvarrish – Kuchh Khattee Kuchh Meethi, Anupamaa et al. But her every mention reminds us of her role of Monisha Sarabhai in Sarabhai Vs Sarabhai. The character which was so relatable and perfectly suited to Rupali connected well with the audience, after all, who doesn't fight for the free dhaniya or make Hindi words in Scrabble or is a sucker for discounts. While that was about Rupali's professional life, speaking of her personal life, the actress is married to an ad filmmaker, Ashwin K Verma, who had worked as Corporate Vice President and Chief Marketing Officer for New York Life Insurance Company, for over 15 years.
While Rupali Ganguly made a name for herself in the television industry, her husband, Ashwin K Verma is the owner of a creative company, New York Live Ideas Corp., which also provide complete production house services. Rupali and Ashwin are proud parents of a son, Rudransh and the family lives happily in their home in Mumbai. Rupali is an ardent social media user, who often gives glimpses of her personal life and their home on her Instagram feed. Rupali and Ashwin's home exudes the warmth of togetherness and love. Just how Rupali prefers to keep her life minus the drama and extravagance, her house is a perfect example of the simplicity and elegance that the family likes.
Selecting the right shade for your house is just like choosing a perfect LBD for your date night, though it looks simple on the surface, it should be the hue that reflects your personality. Rupali Ganguly and Ashwin K Verma opted for the tried-and-tested neutral shade for their house, which has a timeless charm and it makes the area look even more spacious. The beige-coloured walls and white flooring make the rooms look brighter and spacious. The house features a lot of serene corners, plants, an open kitchen and a wide balcony. The living room of the house comprises a metallic gold sofa, a centre table, a matching dining table, huge TV, a chandelier and a wall-sized painting. The living room connects to the open kitchen of Rupali and Ashwin's house, at the entrance of which is the dining table for the family to eat together.

Rupali Ganguly had first met Ashwin K Verma when she modelled for one of his commercials and while working together, they became friends. It was Ashwin, who encouraged Rupali to join television and love blossomed between them naturally. Speaking about her love story, Rupali had once stated in an interview with The Times of India, "We were just friends for 12 years. We first met when I had modelled for one of his commercials. Then we became friends and started working together. He was my confidant, friend, philosopher, guide. He was the one who encouraged me to join television. Love shuv kab hua pata hi nahi chala. I just know he loves me a lot. So, I am in a happy space now. We own an ad agency together and have been making commercials since the last 12 years. Our commercials have been nominated for the Emmy’s nine times. Ashwin means the world to me."
In an interview with the Hindustan Times, Rupali Ganguly had revealed the quality she likes in her husband, Ashwin K Verma the most. Rupali was quoted as saying, "Till today, he’s my friend first and I can talk to him about anything. It’s remarkable how he tolerates me, because I can be difficult sometimes. Also, we didn’t say ‘I love you’ to each other, nor did we propose. Somehow right from the time we were buddies, our families knew that we would get married. It was just a matter of time."
It was on February 6, 2013, when Rupali Ganguly and Ashwin K Verma had tied the knot in an intimate wedding, which was a simple court marriage with only close family members and her Parvarrish – Kuchh Khattee Kuchh Meethi and Sarabhai vs Sarabhai co-stars. After the wedding, Ashwin, who was working in the US, moved to Mumbai. Elaborating on the same, Rupali had said, "Yes, and the fact that he did that just to be with me is his biggest commitment to our relationship. He is an ad filmmaker and was a VP with an insurance company in the US, but now he’s working as a consultant with the same company. I can never live anywhere else but Mumbai, and since both our parents are here, his moving to the city was for the best."
