Rupali Ganguly is one of the most prominent faces in Indian television, who has brought a smile to millions of her fan’s faces. The diva, who has gathered massive popularity with her stint in the serial, Anupama is also known for her charismatic personality and humble nature. For the unversed, Rupali had started off her career with her stint as ‘Monisha Sarabhai’ in the hit sitcom, Sarabhai Vs Sarabhai. In her personal life, the couple is married to her darling hubby, Ashwin K Verma, who has heartily taken his career to a backseat and has been raising their son, Rudransh himself, so as to support his wife’s career.
In a candid conversation with India Forums, Rupali Ganguly narrated unheard anecdotes from her personal life and revealed how for the longest, doctors told that she wouldn’t ever be able to conceive a child. Furthermore, the actress was even told that she would have to go for fertility treatments like IVF, in order to become a mother. Fortunately, she did finally conceive her son, Rudransh naturally. Talking about that moment, Rupali claimed that she always wanted to have a normal delivery, so that she could feel and experience labour pain in real sense, after having been told the impossibility of her becoming a mother. She narrated:

“For a lot of years, doctors told me that I cannot conceive and that I would have to undergo the IVF or other procedures. However, when I conceived Rudransh naturally, I always wanted a normal delivery. It was because I wanted to experience labour pain. Every minute of my labour pain was precious. You know how when you are told that you will never get something but then you finally get it, so you want to cherish it wholeheartedly.”

Speaking along the same lines, Rupali then revealed that she was into an exhaustive nine-hour long labour pain, which started at the morning. The actress revealed that it wasn’t until evening that she was admitted to the hospital, and added that she cherished every moment of the labour pain. Rupali remarked how she was perhaps an anomaly of a woman, who cried as well as laughed during her labour. In her words:
“I was cherishing every moment ever since the labor pain started at around 11 am in the morning. I reached breach candy hospital at around 8 in the evening. When I got my first labor pain there, I was so happy, I was ecstatic. Pehli bar kisi ne dekha hoga ke aurat ro bhi rahi hai aur hass bhi rahi hai. It was because maine kabhi socha nahi tha ke main labour pain experience karungi, so I was very very happy and very touched that god has given me this opportunity to experience this feeling.''
In the concluding segment of the interview, Rupali Ganguly then narrated about the blissful moment of her life, when she saw her baby boy, Rudransh for the first time after he came into the world. Comparing the moment with a case of love at first sight, the doting mom expressed:
“Jab Rudransh ko pehli bar dekha, ye toh love at first sight ke bhi pehle wala love tha. Pehli bar dekhte hi pyaar hojana kisey kehte hai? That happened to me when I saw Rudransh for the first time.”
