Television actress, Rupali Ganguly has become a hosehold name for her stint as 'Anupama' in the serial, Anupamaa. The actress enjoys a massive fanbase, who adores her. Recently, Rupali graced the show, Swayamvar: Mika Di Vohti, and she revealed some interesting details about her wedding and pre-wedding festivities. Rupali Ganguly had a simple and intimate wedding with her husband, Ashwin K Verma, and it was everything beautiful.
For the unversed, Rupali Ganguly had tied the knot with the love of her life, Ashwin K Verma on February 6, 2013, at her parents' home. The couple had first met each other during an ad shoot some years ago and became friends. Soon, love had blossomed between the two, and the rest is history.

Recently, Rupali Ganguly appeared in the mehendi and haldi special episode of the show, Swayamvar: Mika Di Vohti. The actress organised the Top 3 brides-to-be, Neet Mahal, Akanksha Puri and Prantika Das’ wedding rituals. During the show, Rupali took a trip down the memory lane and recalled her rushed marriage with her husband, Ashwin. Talking about her marriage, Rupali said:
“My wedding was quite an unconventional one. I had waited for my husband for 12 years. He was in America and I wanted to live in India. He came on February 4th and said ‘parso shaadi kar lete hai’. I was doing a daily soap and asked for two days leave. I told the producer and he was like ‘your track is going on, how can you take leave? And why do you need leave?’ I had to tell him that I am getting married. We told the parents. I was very upset that no wedding rituals would take place. I shot for my episode and took two days leave.”
Rupali Ganguly also shared that there were more mehendi artists than her family members at her mehendi ceremony. She added that she didn't had time and revealed that she bought her wedding saree on her wedding day. Reflecting on the same, she said:
“I applied mehendi till shoulders. My mehendi went on till 4am and along with it haldi rituals also took place. There was no time. On 6th February, registrar was to come. I went and bought my wedding sari in the morning. I gave them a blouse and told me to give the sari accordingly.

Rupali also mentioned how her husband, Ashwin got late and came in shirt and jeans as he thought he just has to sign. However, she shared that her father wanted to do Kanyadaan but there was no pandit. Talking about how she got married in 15 minutes and got a gem of a husband, Rupali said:
"My husband got late. He came in a Hawaiian shirt and jeans to get married. He thought, he just has to sign. My father told me 15 minutes before that he wants to do kanyadaan. There was no pandit. Somehow we got hold of a pandit, who turned out to be busier than me. Ashwin didn’t even park his car, the pandit rushed down and started reciting mantras. So my wedding took place in 15 mins and mehendi in 4 hours. But I have got one gem of a husband.”
On the work front, Rupali is currently seen on the show, Anupamaa.
