Now, the Anupamaa fame, Rupali Ganguly, slammed Pakistani actor, Fawad Khan following his remark on India’s counter-attack after the Pahalgam incident.
TV actress, Rupali has lashed out at actor, Fawad Khan after the latter called India’s precision strike, Operation Sindoor, ‘shameful’. For the unversed, Fawad Khan labelled India’s counter-attack a ‘shameful attack’. Following his anti-India statements, Rupali strongly reacted to the former’s remarks. On May 7, 2025, taking to her X handle (formerly Twitter), the actress wrote:
“You working in Indian films was also 'shameful' for us.”
On May 7, 2025, Abir Gulaal actor shared on social media that the precision attack ‘Operation Sindoor’ conducted by India on terror camps in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir is nothing but a shameful attempt. Fawad Khan penned down his deepest condolences to the families killed and injured in ‘Operation Sindoor’. Taking to his X handle (formerly Twitter), Fawad wrote:
“My deepest condolences to the families of those injured and killed in this shameful attack. I pray for the souls of the deceased and strength for their loved ones in the days to come. A respectful request to all: stop stoking the flames with rabble-rousing words. It is not worth the lives of innocent people. May better sense prevail. InshaAllah. Pakistan Zindabad!"
The All India Cine Workers Association (AICWA) also strongly condemned Fawad Khan’s anti-India statements. The association also slammed Pakistani actress, Mahira Khan for calling 'Operation Sindoor', a ‘seriously cowardly act’. Condemning their insensitive comments, AICWA tweeted:
“The All Indian Cine Workers Association (AICWA) strongly condemns the anti-India statements made by Pakistani actress Mahira Khan and actor Fawad Khan, who have openly criticised India and questioned the nation’s actions in defence of its sovereignty. Mahira Khan labelled India’s military response as a ‘Seriously Cowardly’ act, while Fawad Khan, instead of condemning terrorism, focused on criticising India’s stance and supporting divisive narratives."

AICWA further stated these kinds of insensitive remarks are not just disrespectful, but a severe insult to the Indian army and the innocent civilians who lost their lives in the Pahalgam attack. The association called for a complete ban on such Pakistani artists. Addressing the same, AICWA wrote:
“These statements are not just disrespectful to our nation but also an insult to the countless innocent lives lost due to terrorism and the brave soldiers who sacrificed their lives for our country. AICWA reaffirms its strict and complete ban on Pakistani artists, filmmakers, and financiers working in India. No Indian artist will collaborate with any Pakistani talent, nor will any global platform be shared with them."
