Russell Simmons Slams Kimora Lee For Keeping His Daughters Away From Him, I Have Been Fighting..’

Kimora Lee Simmons and Russell Simmons' long-standing complicated relationship is once again under the spotlight after the fashion mogul opened up about her bond with her kids' fathers. She admitted that she did not "have a relationship really" with either three of them, and her comments quickly raised eyebrows. Among those who reacted to the claim was her ex-husband and father of her two daughters, Russell Simmons. Russell Simmons fires back at Kimora Lee's remark on her kids' fathers 

Kimora Lee recently sat down for a conversation with PEOPLE this week and opened up about the difficult reality of co-parenting with honesty. She explained that she often says she co-parents her kids, but they are mostly full-time with her, hinting that she is their primary parent. Kimora added that she does not maintain a close relationship with her exes and called them "weird". In her words:

"It's difficult, but sometimes I don't know what other people are thinking. Guys are weird."

Despite the claim, she revealed that she had many friends and family members who constantly helped her raise her children. Kimora Lee admitted that motherhood was always a purpose in her life, and it does not needs a man. The comments were soon met with a public rebuttal from her ex-husband, Russell Simmons, on Threads. He replied to her interview and disputed her claims. Accusing her of theft and threatening him to stay away from his daughters, Russell penned:

"I gave you 50,000 a month for 20 years. I was your best /only friend. I'm the godfather to your other three kids, until one day you stole my stock. I have been fighting for my kids' love and my bread ever since. You threatened that if I sued you, I would never speak to my kids again. There are two sides to every story."

Why did Kimora Lee Simmons and Russell Simmons get a divorce?

Kimora Lee Simmons and Russell Simmons first met in 1992 during New York Fashion Week and got married in 1998. Their relationship raised eyebrows since Kimora was 17 when she met Russell, who was 35 years her senior. They share two daughters, Ming Lee, now 25, and Aoki Lee, 23. The couple announced their separation in 2006, and their divorce was finalised in 2009. The primary reason behind their split was Russell's allegedly repeated infidelity. Subsequently, Kimora filed for divorce, citing "irreconcilable differences". Although it initially appeared to me to be an amicable split, tensions began to surface over time. The ex-couple has a strained bond after Russel filed a lawsuit accusing Kimora of financial misconduct in 2021.
