Television actor, Saanand Verma is extremely popular for his role as 'Anokhe Lal Saxena' in the hit television drama, Bhabhi Ji Ghar Par Hai. He has already become a household name with comedy-filled acting in the serial. However, the actor has now made a shocking revelation about one of the incidents from his childhood, which has had a lasting impact on his life even to date.
In an interview with Times Now, Saanand Verma revealed that he was sexually exploited at the age of 13. He mentioned that during his childhood, he was extremely fond of the game of cricket. Thus, when he went to play a cricket match, a man tried to sexually assault him. Saanand said:
“It happened to me once, during a cricket match. When I was 13, I desperately wanted to be a cricketer. I went to a cricket training academy in Patna, Bihar. There, a big guy tried to exploit me. I was extremely scared and ran away. Since then, I have stayed away from cricket.”

In the same conversation, Saanand called the horrific incident of getting molested at such a mere age a “terrible memory”. He shared that it is a pain that can never go away from him. Elaborating on the same, the actor also mentioned how the incident left a mark on his psyche, and he added:
“Whatever happened to me in my childhood is definitely a terrible memory, many terrible things have happened to me before. When a person has endured so much suffering, no other pain matters to them.”
Afterwards, Saanand was asked if he had ever faced the casting couch in so many years of being in the industry. To this, he thanked God and revealed that no such thing has ever happened to him. However, he gets to know about painful experiences from his friends. Thus, he mentioned that such things should never happen in future. He mentioned:
“Casting couch exists here. I can’t give two opinions on this, but fortunately, nothing like this has ever happened to me. No one has ever approached me in this way. Many of my colleagues have told me about their painful experiences, which should never happen.”

Saanand Verma has been part of the Indian film and television industry for a long time. He made his debut in the acting world with the 2009 television series, Lapataganj. Later, he also appeared in several other television series, including CID, F.I.R. and many others. However, his character in Bhabiji Ghar Par Hain gave him immense stardom. He was also seen in films, including Mardaani, Raid, Chhichhore, Ram Singh Charlie, Hum Do Hamare Do, Babli Bouncer, and much more. Moreover, he also debuted on the OTT platform in the year 2018 with the series, Apharan.
