Manisha Thapa was one of the 12 cabin crew, who lost their lives in the AI-171 crash. Manisha was from Patna, and her father, Raju Thapa, is with Bihar Police. Manisha's uncles are associated with the Bihar Special Armed Forces, and she had her roots in Nepal, although, she used to live in Patna. She earned a Bachelor's degree in Business Economics from St. Xavier’s College, Patna, from 2014 to 2017. The entire college mourned her demise, and in her memory, they planted a tree as well.

Sagar Patil's video was first shared by a journalist when he was seen tearing up while sitting in the hospital room. His silent cry left people's hearts aching. Later, in a video, he was seen asking for justice for his late girlfriend. On June 18, 2025, he took to his IG stories and shared a note, wherein he thanked those who supported him in this tough time. Along with the same, in the last line, he said that people should stay with their loved ones as life is unpredictable. To note, he has not officially revealed his girlfriend's identity yet.
