'Ramayana' Actress, Sai Pallavi Dons Swimsuit During Beach Vacation, Fans Defend Her Over Trolling

Sai Pallavi is one of the brilliant actresses in the entertainment world. The gorgeous actress has carved a special place in the hearts of her fans. Sai Pallavi is all set to make her Bollywood debut alongside Ranbir Kapoor in the movie Ramayana, and the excitement among her fans about this has been heightened. For those who don't know, Sai Pallavi has a strong aversion to wearing short dresses in movies. So much so, she was even the first choice for Arjun Reddy, which she didn't do, due to this restriction.

Recently, Sai Pallavi was criticised for her choice of wearing a swimsuit during a beach vacation, which didn't go down well with the actress's fans. Sai Pallavi's sister recently dropped several snaps from their beach vacation, and in a few of the photos, the actress looked pretty as she slipped into a swimsuit and posed with her sister. However, given the fact that she doesn't generally opt for short dresses in front of the camera, people started questioning her.

One user said, "So onscreen Traditional Sai Pallavi wears a bikini in real life." Another user said, "Hence proved she belongs to all so-called heroines...keep aside traditional wear..." Slamming such meaningless comments, Sai Pallavi's fans defended her, mentioning that it's definitely her choice what she decides to wear, and it doesn't make sense for someone to walk on the beach wearing a saree. Sai Pallavi's fan penned, "Beach me saree pehen ke ghume kya?" Another user commented, "If she wears a bikini in movies, you can strongly say this comment, but it's her personal life."

Sai Pallavi revealed why she doesn't wear short dresses

Sai Pallavi is known to have not chosen heavy makeup or short dresses in the films. In an interview with Galatta, Sai Pallavi shared that there had been an incident, for which she decided not to wear something and feel uncomfortable later. The actress said that during her time in Georgia, she learnt tango. To participate in a competition, she wore a dress with a slit, and for the same, she even took her parents' permission.

Following this, the actress made her debut with the movie Premam, and people praised her performance. Around that time, her video in this slit dress went viral, leaving her uncomfortable with people making various comments about her, which made her feel objectified. Sai Pallavi could be quoted as saying:

"When I was studying in Georgia, I learned to tango. For a performance, I had to wear a slit dress and I even took permission from my parents. Even they were OK with it. Later, when my first film, Premam, hit the theatres and I got applause for my performance, my tango dance video went viral. People started pausing the video and commenting on my slit dress. I felt that I was being objectified and was very uncomfortable."

In the same interview, Sai Pallavi shared that just because she doesn't wear short dresses in the films, it doesn't define her personality, as she also loses her calm often. In another interview, Sai Pallavi also revealed that she doesn't like it when people compare or badmouth other actresses, just because they prefer wearing the kind of clothes they like.
