The past 70 hours were extremely tough for Saif Ali Khan and his entire family, but they all showed immense strength. It was in the wee hours of January 16, 2025, when Saif, to protect his family from an intruder's attack, got himself severely injured. A situation that we only heard of in films, the Khan family dealt with calmness and resistance. Talking about the latest development in the case, as the attacker is arrested and will soon be handed to the Mumbai police, the second part of the knife has also been found.
Recently, the Bandra police found the second part of the knife used to attack the actor on the unfortunate night. The second part was found in the children Taimur and Jeh's room at Saif and Kareena's home. The recovered knife piece has been further sent for forensic analysis and fingerprint examination.
Let us inform you that the first part was removed from Saif's body during surgery at the hospital. The blade was logged in Saif's back and was extracted during the surgical procedure by the doctors. Dr. Nitin Dange, Chief Neurosurgeon at Lilavati Hospital, said the actor had a risk of paralysis during the incident. However, the knife lodged near the spinal cord was 2mm away from it.
The 47-year-old auto-driver spoke to ABP News and recalled the horrifying moment and being a witness to the high-profile attack. He revealed that a lady screamed for help when he was driving in the upscale Bandra. He didn't have any idea that the victim was Saif Ali Khan and thought it to be a normal fight between some people.
However, he realised the gravity of the situation when Saif Ali Khan himself walked towards his vehicle. The auto-driver confirmed that a small child (Taimur) was with him. He said:

"He walked towards me himself; a small child was with him. He was in an injured state, and I just had to get him to the hospital quickly. We reached hospital in eight to ten minutes."
The auto-driver revealed the state of Saif Ali Khan and how his white kurta had turned completely red with the blood stain. He had an injury on the neck.
"Blood nikal raha tha garden se nikal raha tha, peeche laga tha, yaani safed kurta pora laal hogya tha."
Further, the reporter asked if Saif's son was scared seeing the whole incident or if he was normal. To this, the auto-driver claimed that the child was absolutely normal and they were even conversing. He wasn't scared at all.
