Bollywood actor Saif Ali Khan inherited the title of the tenth Nawab of Pataudi from his late father, Mansoor Ali Khan Pataudi. Thus, we can clearly understand why Saif is counted among the richest celebrities in India. Besides managing the luxurious properties, Saif is also a prolific actor. Saif also owns the luxurious Pataudi Palace and a regal ancestral home in Bhopal. As per reports, the properties, including everything like the furnitures and all that belongs to the Pataudi Palace, is worth Rs. 5000 crores. However, as per many reports, Saif Ali Khan cannot transfer his ancestral properties to his children, Sara Ali Khan, Ibrahim Ali Khan, Taimur Ali Khan and Jehangir Ali Khan, the way he inherited the properties from his father, the late Mansoor Ali Khan Pataudi. It is because the House of Pataudi comes under the Enemy Dispute Act, 1968, of the Government of India. As per the act, no one can claim the right over such properties, which cannot be inherited.

For the unversed, the Pataudi Palace in Delhi was rented to a hotel chain after the death of Saif Ali Khan’s father, Mansoor Ali Khan Pataudi. In an interview with the Mid-Day, Saif opened up about how he earned back the Pataudi palace. He stated:
“People have a certain fixed notion. For that matter, even with Pataudi palace, when my father Mansoor Ali Khan Pataudi died, it got rented to Neemrana Hotels. Aman Nath and Francis Wacziarg used to run the hotel. Francis passed away. He’d said that if I wanted the palace back, I could let him know. I said: ‘I want it back’. They held a conference, and said, ‘okay, you have to give us lots of money!’ Which I then consequently earned.”
