Ahaan Panday and Aneet Padda's movie, Saiyaara, is set to make a mark of Rs. 300 crore this weekend. With the successful run of three weeks in the theatres, the movie is already a hit and has been making waves since the time it was released. People have been eagerly waiting for the movie's OTT release. Reports have been claiming that there might be a delay in the release of Saiyaara on OTT, given it is still roaring at the box office. Before that, let's have an explanation of the ending scene of Saiyaara.
Spoiler alert for sure, but to discuss the ending we must look at the minute details about the background story of 'Krish Kapoor' (Ahaan Panday) and 'Vaani Batra'. 'Krish', the bad boy of music, found his inspiration from the poems of 'Vaani', a soft-spoken journalist, who turned to writing to heal her past wounds of betrayal. The duo eventually bonded and found solace in each other's arms, which turned into a soft love. Eventually problems started cropping up as 'Vaani' got diagnosed with early-onset Alzheimer's disease, which erased her memories.
'Krish' juggles between his personal and professional lives, and he was in a conflict about where to focus his attention, by being there for 'Vaani' or working hard for his concert. What happens eventually is the climax for sure, as 'Vaani' stabbed 'Krish' when he tried to comfort her, when she had a memory lapse, while meeting her ex-lover. 'Vaani' realised her mistake and disappeared after penning down the title track, Saiyaara. 'Krish' remained unsuccessful in finding her, and performed Saiyaara songs in his concerts, in the hope that it would reach 'Vaani'.
Eventually, 'Krish' found out 'Vaani' through a reel, and when he reached the destination to meet her, she had already forgotten him, due to Alzheimer's disease. Later, 'Krish' recreated a scene to remind 'Vaani' of him and their love story. 'Vaani' remembered it all finally, and they had a happy, tear-jerking moment when they finally became each other's forever, while confessing love. So, it's definitely a movie worth watching, with Gen-Z Aashiqui vibes, and such films touch hearts, leaving them emotionally tangled, only to soothe them with the final scene.
For the unversed, Saiyaara will soon be released on the OTT giant, Netflix. While YRF and Netflix collaborated on digital content and web series, with Saiyaara, the production house is releasing its first theatrical release on the platform. Reports claimed that the movie would be released in September, but with the box office success still ongoing, the makers can keep the movie in theatres for a longer time. On the other hand, sources claimed that YRF has negotiated with Netflix to release the movie on OTT during Diwali. However, the final announcement is yet to happen.
