Day before yesterday (January 4, 2017), one of India’s most loved cricketers, Mahendra Singh Dhoni announced that he is resigning as a captain from ODI and T20 International. This announcement shocked every cricket fan and broke many hearts!

MS Dhoni has been one of the finest captains that Indian Cricket Team can ever have! He is an all-rounder, a perfect team leader and above all, a very down-to-earth person who thinks about his teammates and team first.
Dhoni took over the captaincy in 2007 and since then led the team to the World T20, World Cup and Champions Trophy titles. He also was the captain when India became the No. 1 Test team for the first time ever!

This time also, his decision to step down from his captaincy was to make way for Virat Kohli’s selection as a captain. This is the reason why both cricket fans and non-cricket fans love him for his benevolence!
Soon after the news reached his fans and media, people started pouring their tribute to the legend for his decision. Virat shared a very sweet message for his dear captain. Here is what he tweeted:
“Thanks for always being the leader a youngster wants to have around him. You'll always be my captain @msdhoni Bhai”
When everyone was posting their shocking reaction to Dhoni’s decision, his wife, Sakshi posted an adorable message for her hubby, showing how much she believes in him. Take a look:
