Ankita Lokhande's mother-in-law, Ranjana Jain's rude behaviour towards her inside the Bigg Boss 17 house left millions irked. However, things turned ugly after she passed mean remarks about her bahu, Ankita, in the media and stated, 'Bahut paisa kamana padta hai, tab jaake nakhre pore hote hai.' Last week, Karan Johar let the matter go on request of Ankita's plea, but Salman made sure to grill Ranjana Jain for making mean comments about her daughter-in-law in the media.
In the latest episode, Salman Khan took a class with Vicky Jain's mother, Ranjana Jain, who said she wasn't in favour of their marriage. The Bigg Boss team invited members from the finalists' families to answer on behalf of their crimes on the show. From Vicky's side, his sister-in-law, Reshu Jain, attended the show. Salman questioned why his mother didn't appear, to which Reshu stated that she was unwell and had been keeping a fast. Salman took note of the 'fast' thing and joked that 'hunger' might be the reason for her remarks in the media.

Further in the episode, Vicky's bhabhi, Reshu,, revealed that relatives were calling their parents to discusse couple's ugly fights on the show. Salman criticised the behaviour and stated that such people should be removed from one's life. He added that they are jealous and poking the mother-in-law. Salman further stated how no one knows Vicky's family, while even kids know about Ankita Lokhande. Salman was quoted as saying:
"They are jealous, they are poking your mother-in-law and she is getting poked. If they say how Ankita entered such a 'big family', does she belong to a smaller family? Aapke parivaar ko koi nhi jaanta tha, Bilaspur mein koi nhi janta tha. Isko Hindustan mein bachcha bachcha janta hai.
Salman further stated that such relatives are like 'teen titliyan' from his film, Hum Saath Saath Hai, who instigated the innocent Mamta to throw her stepson out of the house. Salman added that she should eradicate them from her life. Otherwise, she will be miserable. Salman also gave a befitting reply to Ranjana Jain's remark on handling, Ankita's nakhre. He said:
"Nakhre toh mujhe is waqt Ankita se zaada saasu ma ke lagrae hain."
After Ankita's mother-in-law entered the show, an interview of her went viral, wherein she revealed that her family wasn't in favour of their son, Vicky to marry an actress. She also added that it takes a lot of effort to take care of an actress. In the clip that went viral, Vicky's mother made a mean remark and said:
"Heroino ko palna ho toh toh mehnat toh karni he padti hain, saralta se toh aa nahin jaati hain. Bahut nakhre hote hain aur bahut paisa bhi gavana padta hain. Tab nakhre poore hote hain".
However, Ankita's best friend, Rashami Desai, penned a note. Rashami revealed that her close friend, Ankita, did this show for her husband, Vicky Jain's happiness. She also quoted her statement, 'kharche palna padta' and referred to Ankita as 'khara sona'. An excerpt from Rashami's angry note atop the video can be read as:
"And Kharche palna padta hai ka kya Matlab hua aunty???? They both had love marriage and usse pehle bhi wo road par nah thi. She's Ankita Lokhande. Bhale big boss aapke bete par paisa lagye. Ladki hamari bhi Khara Sona hai. Sab ki apni ladai hoti hai. Par aap nahi chahti inki shadi tike ?? Har Pati-patni main jhagde hote hai. Aur show bhi difficult hai. 2 din main aapke yeh haal hai. 4 mahine, nakalegi to aap taqleef samjhengi."
