Salman Khan and Dharamji were quite close and shared an amicable bond. So it's not unlikely that Dharmendra's passing shook Salman deeply. During his speech, he did not name the person he was referring to, but was sure people understood whose loss he was mourning. He expressed his condolences and wished for God's grace upon the deceased's soul. Salman also mentioned that he didn't want to host the latest Weekend ka Vaar episodes because he wasn't in the proper mental space, but 'life goes on,' and everyone has to do their due in the world. Salman's exact words were:
"I guess aap samajh rahe hain main kinki baat kar raha hoon. Anyway, God bless his soul. I wish I wasn't doing this week's Weekend ka Vaar, but life goes on."

Dharmendra made multiple appearances on the set of Bigg Boss during the Weekend ka Vaar episodes of seasons 15, 16, and 17.
