South Indian actress, Samantha Ruth Prabhu is going through a challenging phase. For quite some time, there have been rumours that Samantha's married life with Naga Chaitanya had hit a rough patch. While fans were hoping that rumours turned out to be false, Samantha and Naga Chaitanya had shocked everyone by announcing their separation.
After the news of Samantha and Naga Chaitanya's divorce had gone viral, people started speculating the reason. Some trolled the actress for not wanting the baby to people spreading fake news regarding her personal life. After which, Samantha took a legal course and filed a defamation case against a few YouTubers and people.
Recently, the Hyderabad court has slammed Samantha and turned down her plea for an urgent hearing of the defamation case. According to a report by News18, the judge had said, "Celebrities share the details about their personal lives in the public domain, and they then file defamation suits."
The district judge, who seemed annoyed by the plea made by Samantha's lawyer, had said, "In court, everyone is equal before the law. There is no sense of some being high and others being low. We will hear your (Samantha) case as per the procedure."
On October 2, 2021, Samantha and Chaitanya had announced their divorce. Their statement could be read as "To all our well-wishers. After much deliberation and thought, Chay and I have decided to part ways as husband and wife to pursue our own paths. We are fortunate to have a friendship of over a decade that was the very core of our relationship, which we believe will always hold a special bond between us."
Samantha and Naga had also requested their fans to give them privacy during these times. The note further read, "We request our fans, well-wishers and the media to support us during this difficult time and give us the privacy we need to move on. Thanking you for your support."
Meanwhile, on the work front, Samantha will be next seen in Gunasekhar film's Shaakuntalam.
