Samantha Ruth Prabhu's tattoos hold the painful memories of her relationship with her ex-husband, Naga Chaitanya

For the uninitiated, Samantha had three tattoos at the time the fan questioned her about her plans to get more. While the actress didn't elaborate on the reason behind her new-found dislike for tattoos, many knew the answer nonetheless. The three tattoos were likely a constant, bitter reminder of her failed marriage with her ex-husband, Naga Chaitanya, as Samantha's inspiration for them was her love for Naga.

The first tattoo was on the nape of Samantha Ruth Prabhu's neck and reads 'YMC'. The abbreviation refers to the 2010 release Ye Maaya Chesave, which was the first film she ever acted in with Naga Chaitanya. She then got another matching tattoo with her then-husband, Naga Chaitanya, on her forearm. On multiple occasions, the two were seen wearing the same Viking symbol, which featured two arrows.

Samatha got her third tattoo on her rib. This was the most direct of them all, as it read 'Chay', one of Naga Chaitanya's nicknames. Samantha first showcased the newest addition in a 2019 Instagram post, in which she tagged Naga, calling him her husband and her world. However, after their separation, it is speculated that Samantha had this removed, as it is no longer visible in her pictures after 2023.

Four years later, news of the beloved couple's separation dropped like a bombshell, sending shockwaves through fans. The two South stars have remained as private about their divorce as they were about their relationship. However, a post by Samantha once again caught the attention of netizens.
