Now, Chaitanya has moved on in his life and got engaged to actress, Sobhita Dhulipala, in an intimate ceremony on August 8, 2024. The duo was rumoured to be dating for some years now.

For the unversed, after parting ways with Samantha, Chaitanya had deleted all the posts featuring his former wife from his Instagram handle, except the promotional posters of their film, Majili. However, one picture of the duo, in which they were standing beside a racing car, is still there on his IG. Chaitanya had posted it in 2018 with the caption:

“Throw back… Mrs and the girlfriend.”

Amid Naga Chaitanya's engagement to Sobhita, the old post on his IG handle did not go unnoticed by the fans of Samantha Ruth Prabhu. They flooded the post's comment section and asked Chaitanya to delete this last memory of his past with Samantha from his social media feed. One user questioned, “Can you please del this pic as a girl? I know how much it hurts to Sam.” Another penned, “Delete this post pls, its really heartbreaking.”

Soon after the news of Naga Chaitanya and Sobhita Dhulipala broke the internet, Nagarjuna Akkineni shared a heartfelt post for the couple. Taking to X, Nagarjuna dropped two pictures from Chaitanya and Sobhita's intimate engagement ceremony and penned a beautiful note along with it. The loving father shared the details of the duo's engagement, which took place at 9:42 am and also welcomed Sobhita into their family. He wished the couple a lifetime of love and happiness and wrote:

"We are delighted to announce the engagement of our son, Naga Chaitanya, to Sobhita Dhulipala, which took place this morning at 9:42 am!! We are overjoyed to welcome her into our family.
