Indian actress, Samantha Ruth Prabhu has been in the news for various reasons. While she has seen a lot of success at her professional life, Samantha's personal life has hit a rough patch. In 2021, Samantha had left her fans heartbroken by announcing her separation from Naga Chaitanya. After which, rumours mills started churning out false stories about the ex-couple, but Samantha kept her calm.
For those who don't know, Samantha and Naga Chaitanya had first met on the sets of their hit film, Yeh Maaya Chesave. However, they didn't fall in love at that time. Instead, their dating speculations started in 2015 when they were spotted together. Finally, on October 7, 2017, Samantha and Chaitanya had tied the knot.

On March 10, 2022, Samantha attended the 4th edition of the Critics Choice Awards in Mumbai. For the event, she wore a flowy green-wrap dress with a plunging neckline corset. She ditched the accessories and opted for nude-toned makeup and a messy braid. She looked gorgeous as she walked on the red carpet. Check it out:
While Samantha looked gorgeous, the outfit didn't please the netizens. In fact, after this, Samantha got brutally trolled for her dressing sense. One user wrote, "Itna clothes peeche laga rakha hai, issue acha aage laga leti." Another joked, "Mere ghar ka parda mil gaya." There was one netizen who commented, "Lga rha h ghr se jaldi nikalne ke chaker me bedroom ke chader he lapet le h."
Recently, there was a report that Samantha Ruth Prabhu had returned her wedding saree to Naga Chaitanya. The saree had belonged to Chaitanya's grandmother. And, Samantha didn't want to keep anything that belonged to her ex-husband and his family.

On October 2, 2021, Samantha and Chaitanya had announced their divorce. The couple had taken to their respective Instagram handles and had shared the news of their separation. Their statement could be read as:
"To all our well-wishers. After much deliberation and thought, Chay and I have decided to part ways as husband and wife to pursue our own paths. We are fortunate to have a friendship of over a decade that was the very core of our relationship, which we believe will always hold a special bond between us."
Meanwhile, on the work front, Samantha will be next seen in the film, Shaakuntalam.
