Samantha Ruth Prabhu needs no introduction, as she is one of the most glamorous actresses in South Indian cinema. Over the years, she proved her acting mettle in films like Eega, Kushi, and Yashoda among others. The actress is currently on a medical break from work and is quite active on social media. Samantha, who has been undergoing treatments for the autoimmune disease, myositis, recently interacted with her fans on Instagram.
During the Q&A session, when a fan complimented Samantha on her clear skin, she gave an honest response. The actress replied that her skin suffered a lot due to the excessive amount of steroid shots, which she took for treatment of her autoimmune disease, Myositis. The fan asked Samantha, "How is your skin so clear?" Responding to the same, she revealed that her skin is not clear and she has been using a filter. She said:
"It's actually absolutely hot. Chinmayi Sripada is going to fix that, she promised. She's going to make my skin glossy. Actually because of this issue, I had to be on so much of steroids, I actually had to do a lot of steroid shots so it really, really messed up my skin, gave me a lot of pigmentation. So no, this is a filter guys."

Samantha was seen sitting at a restaurant as she gave answers to her fans' queries. Dressed in an olive green-hued tank top, the actress flaunted her bob haircut. In the same IG story, Samantha also went on to ask Chinmayi about giving her glossy skin and penned:
"@chinmayisripada Where is my glossy skin?"
Meanwhile, another fan asked Samantha to talk about the three things she lives by, and after a deep thought, she said, "I have become very patient, and strong, and my willpower has reached infinity." However, she felt that she didn't give a proper answer to the question, and atop her Instagram Story, she wrote:
"1. I will overcome 2. Stop questioning things...it is what it is. 3. Move forward in honesty and truth."

Meanwhile, Samantha Ruth Prabhu recently confirmed her break from acting to take care of her health. Taking to her IG handle on July 13, 2023, Samantha shared a picture of herself with the filmmaker duo, Raj and DK, as well as screenwriter, Sita Menon. Along with the post, Samantha penned a caption talking about her hiatus from acting. Expressing her views about the same, she added that taking a break doesn’t seem like a bad thing at all and penned:
“A break doesn’t seem like a bad thing at all when you know what’s coming @rajanddk @mensit The family I didn’t know I needed. Thank you for helping me fight every single battle and never ever giving up on me... I wish more than anything in the world to make you proud... Thank you for the role of a lifetime... i.e until you write me the next.”
On the work front, Samantha will be next seen in Raj Nidimoru's directorial, Citadel, alongside Varun Dhawan and Sikandar Kher.
