Samay Raina Breaks Silence After Ranveer Allahbadia's Crass Jokes On Parents: 'Too Much For Me To..'

Samay Raina, who was basking in the glory of success with his back-to-back hits shows and his YouTube content receiving love from across the world, came rolling down. It all happened after Ranveer Allahbadia made a crass remark on parents on Samay Raina's show, India's Got Latent, in the name of 'dark comedy'. Later, he was flooded with hate, and fans found out it was a planned joke from another YouTube show. 

Samay Raina reacted to the hate he received after Ranveer Allahbadia's nasty remark on parents

Since the start of the week, Ranveer Allahbadia's name has been called out for his nasty remark on Samay Raina's show, wherein he questioned a contestant's parents' intimate life and asked him if the person would join them. This remark left Samay even shocked. After days of silence, Samay shared his side of the story. 

Taking to his Instagram stories, Samay revealed that he had deleted all the videos of his show, India's Got Latent , from his YouTube channel. He added that all the backlashing was way too much for him to handle. He wrote:

"Everything that is happening has been too much for me to handle. I have removed all India's Got Latent videos from my channel. My only objective was to make people laugh and have a good time. I will fully cooperate with all agencies to ensure their inquiries are concluded fairly."

Ranveer Allahbadia's question got him in a legal soup of troubles

According to reports, during his appearance on the show as a judge on the panel, Ranveer went overboard in order to grill a contestant. He questioned the contestant whether they would watch their parents get intimate for the rest of their lives or join them once and put a stop to it. He received more hatred as children of all ages watched the show. For a split second, even Samay Raina was left surprised with Ranveer's strange question. Another judge was quoted as saying: 

"Kya ho gaya hai Ranveer bhai ko?"

Ranveer Allahbadia apologised for his statement 

On February 10, 2025, after the issue was blown and Ranveer got massive hate from across the nation, he released an apology video. He stated that his comment was was not even funny and just inappropriate. He added that comedy wasn't his forte and he just wanted to apologise. Ranveer went on to say:

"My comment was not just inappropriate, it was not even funny. Comedy is not my forte. I am just here to say sorry. Many of you asked if this is how I wished to use my platform and obviously, this is not how I wish to use it. I am not going to give any context or justification or reasoning behind whatever happened. I am just here to apologise. I personally had a lapse in judgement. It was not cool on my part."
