Samay Raina Had An Emotional Call With Dad From Jammu Amid Indo-Pak Tension, Says, 'One Last Time..'

Samay Raina has been feeling the tension rising on the India-Pakistan border, with his father in Jammu. The influencer, who is often seen in a humourous mood, shared how he had an emotional conversation with his father, who is currently in Jammu. Samay expressed his support for the Indian Army and even shared that he was worried about his father, who reassured him that the Indian Armed Forces had ensured his safety.

Samay Raina talked about his emotional call with his father

Samay Raina took to his Instagram handle past midnight on May 9, 2025, and shared an emotional update about his conversation with his father. The influencer and stand-up comedian revealed that his father called him to say goodnight. He shared that his father's voice was calm and steady during the span of the conversation. Samay further added that his father urged him not to worry as the Indian armed forces had everything under control. He was quoted as saying:

"My father calls me one last time tonight from Jammu to say goodnight. His voice, steady and calm, urges me to sleep and not worry—the Indian armed forces have everything under control. His calmness quiets my restless thoughts. I switch off the lights in my Mumbai home and walk to the window to draw the curtains. Outside my window, my neighbour’s lights still glow."

In the same post, Samay Raina added that as he went to close his curtains at night, he saw the light still on at his neighbour's place. He added how he knew a little about his neighbour, but tonight, he wondered if he, too, had family in the border states or a son in the army. He further expressed his respect for the armed forces and stated:

"I know little about him. That’s just how it is here. I wonder if he, too, has family in Jammu, perhaps in Pathankot or if he might be the son of a brave soldier, who won’t sleep tonight, waiting for a morning call from his father on the front lines. My utmost respect to the armed forces and their families for all the sacrifices they make for our safety. Goodnight. Jai Hind."

Samay Raina, in another story, addressed the escalating situations on the India-Pakistan border. He stated that his prayers were with Jammu. In his post, he also added that the people on the border should sleep peacefully and have faith in the country's armed forces. He was quoted as saying:

"My prayers with everyone in Jammu. Sleep peacefully and believe in the Indian Army. Jai Hind."

According to the reports, India repelled several attempted strikes from Pakistan in Jammu and Kashmir, Punjab, Rajasthan and Gujarat, and clamped a blackout across the western border. The armed forces shot down multiple aircraft, including at least one F-16. While the report has not been confirmed by the army or the administration, it is alleged that Indian forces also captured a Pakistani pilot. The shower of drone and missile strikes on military sites came a day after India's 'Operation Sindoor' struck nine terrorist infrastructures in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir.
