Becoming a mother means acquiring a bucketload of responsibilities. You may or may not be prepared for what comes along, and so, a little guidance goes a long way. Bollywood actress, Sameera Reddy is a doting mother of two beautiful kids, Hans Varde and Nyra Varde and she is an exemplary figure of how a woman should conduct herself once she becomes a mother. For the unversed, Sameera Reddy had embraced motherhood for the first time in 2015 with the arrival of her baby boy, Hans Varde. Four years later, her family was completed when she was blessed with a baby girl, Nyra Varde. Sameera's 'messy mama' posts are utterly inspiring for the young mommies as she speaks openly about issues concerning motherhood, which are normally considered a taboo. Posting a throwback picture of herself when she was pregnant with her first kid, Hans, Sameera Reddy recalled how unprepared she was then. She wrote, "Angry, frustrated, self-loathing & spewing. Our own demons get to us! Akshai patiently worked through it with me. Throwback 2015, pregnant with Hans, hormonal, unaware & unprepared! Totally opposite of what I am today. We prepare for everything but what is most important the emotional support we require. What leads someone to feel low about one's body self-image? Whether you are a new mother or even otherwise? It can lead to a negative body perception that can dominate your moods, your inner happiness and destroy healthy relationships."
Talking about her transformation after the birth of her second child, Nyra, Sameera expressed that positivity comes from within. Her note can be further read as "Two babies later, I look back and am so grateful for the unbelievable transformation. Not the physical one but the mental one, but it's difficult to see it when you are in a bad mental and physical space. The positive internal shift only comes with your own focus to pull yourself out of the rut and of course, the support from people around you. Be Kind. Be gentle with anyone who is struggling. You are #imperfectlyperfect at every age and every stage. #mentalhealthawareness #messymama #momlife #grace #bekind #loveyourself."
On October 8, 2020, Sameera Reddy had shared a picture with her adorable son, Hans Varde and answering the most-asked question, 'how do you know you want a second child?', she had written in her caption, "How do you know you want a second child? I get asked this a lot. I'd like moms to share their experiences in the comments below. I find it hard to answer this because I believe everyone has their own experience and situation that can make this decision a very personal one."

Further expressing how she had worked hard to develop a loving relationship between her two kids, Sameera had continued, "I always knew I wanted two kids. I'm working hard on their relationship in their formative years hoping they have a solid friendship and bond for life. The best way to gauge if I was ready was to just ask myself if I had the courage to do this all over again, the pregnancy ,sleepless nights ,weight gain, etc. I did suffer PPD the first time round but I was better equipped after Nyra. I was happy to redo it all over again." (Also Read: 'Naagin 3' Actor, Pearl V Puri's Father Passed Away After Suffering From Pneumonia [Details Inside])
Asking women not to get pressurised while deciding on having a second child, Sameera Reddy had continued, "In fact, I felt I didn't enjoy the whole process the last time because I was totally unprepared and too caught up with my emotions which Is why maybe today, I talk about it often hoping women will enjoy the process and not get pulled down by it. What about the love? It naturally just splits between them and it's a balancing act with many moments of meltdowns on all sides but we get through it."
Sameera had ended her note on the promise that it might take some time, or we could get lost, but we all find our own way eventually. Her note could be further read as "I also really feel it takes a lot more work on time with your partner and for yourself. It's easy to get lost but we all find our way. I know many families that are happy with just one or even no kids. Whatever you choose it's awesome either way. I would say don't get pressurised by anyone because it's your decision. Your take on your life and how you choose to see it is what makes the journey a unique one. Nothing is easy but nothing is difficult either #motherhood #momlife #messymama #letsgetreal."
