It was in 2012 when Shilpa Shetty Kundra and Raj Kundra had embraced parenthood with the arrival of a little munchkin, Viaan Raj Kundra and the star parents often give glimpses of their baby boy who has grown up to be a doting big brother now. Viaan's wish to have a baby sister was fulfilled in 2020 when Shilpa and Raj had welcomed a daughter in their lives via surrogacy. Though Shilpa and Raj had kept their newborn daughter guarded from the media glare and had posted only partial glimpses of her on their social media handles, it was a few days ago when the 45-year-old mommy was captured by the paparazzi with Samisha. It was the first time when Samisha was introduced to the world and it was indeed a sight to behold moment!
The festivities this year were super-special for the Shetty-Kundra clan as it was first of every festival with Samisha Shetty Kundra. Similar was the enthusiasm for Ganesh Chaturthi in 2020. It was double celebrations on Ganesh Chaturthi as on that day, Samisha had her annaprashan ceremony too. Shilpa Shetty Kundra had given a glimpse of the same on her IG stories in which Samisha was seated in her carrycot, dressed in a pink and grey coloured lehenga as her mommy had held aarti ki thaali in her hands. Earlier that day, Shilpa had given a glimpse of the twinning outfits of the mother-daughter duo for the Ganesh Chaturthi and annaprashan celebrations. Viaan Raj Kundra had also twinned with Shilpa and Samisha in a pink ensemble.
Revealing details of the annaprashan ceremony of Samisha Shetty Kundra back in August, Shilpa Shetty Kundra had said in an interview with the Bombay Times, “This pandemic has made us all realise a lot of things, but most importantly, it has shown us the difference between necessity and luxury, so we are just sticking to the basics. This year, I have done the decorations on my own. There is no fanfare and caterers, because there are no guests. We will conduct a Satyanarayan puja, and I will feed Samisha a little solid food, a ritual that we call Annaprashan. We had done the same ritual for Viaan too. When Samisha Shetty Kundra had turned seven-month-old, Shilpa Shetty Kundra had given a glimpse of a precious gift that was made when her little girl was just seven days old. Shilpa had taken to her IG story to share a picture of a frame, which has hand and feet impressions of her ‘precious miracle of love’, Samisha and thanking lifecasting artist, Bhavna Jasra, the doting mommy had written, “Thank you soooo much @bhavnajasra for this memorable piece that I will cherish for life… Jr SSK was 7 days old when you came and took her impressions. Now she’s completed 7 months. Can’t believe she was so tiny!”
2020 has been extremely special for the star siblings, Viaan Raj Kundra and Samisha Shetty Kundra as it had marked the first Raksha Bandhan and Bhai Dooj for them. For the Bhai Dooj celebration, Shilpa, Viaan and Samisha had worn coordinated outfits. Giving a glimpse of the celebrations, Shilpa had written, “The 2 parts of our hearts Viaan-Raj & Samisha celebrating their first Bhai Dooj. Hearts full of gratitude because my little boy’s dream for a li’l sister has come true. His happiness today is so evident in his radiant smile.
