No matter, how prepared you are of letting your loved ones go, but when the time comes, saying your final goodbye is the most difficult. Especially, when it is your father, who has taught you everything in life. No amount of words can ever heal the pain of not seeing your favourite man again. And Bollywood actress, Sana Saeed is going through the same emotions in the past few weeks as her father had left for the heavenly abode. However, her pain is much bigger as she wasn't able to say her final goodbyes to her father. For Sana, the month of March had ended on a sad note as she had lost her father, Abdul Ahad Saeed on March 22, 2020. Her pain doubled up because of the nationwide lockdown and she was struck in the United States. The actress wasn't even able to attend her father's last rites due to the COVID-19 outbreak. And she has been trying to handle the loss all alone in a foreign land.
In an interview with The Times of India, Sana shared her emotions and said, "It was extremely hard for me to deal with the news. Besides, I was already in isolation here and had no one with me. That was tough and unfair." Her father was diabetic and had a lot of health complications. The actress further shared, "He fell sick in the last couple of months and was even hospitalised. However, he had returned home and was stable, or else I wouldn’t have left his side. In fact, I didn’t take up any work for the last two months as I wanted to be with him." Sana also revealed how she has been coping with the huge loss all alone in a foreign country and accepting the harsh reality. She said, "I had shut myself from the world for a couple of days and was only taking calls from my family (mother and two sisters). I wanted to be with them and hug them. Every time I felt sad, I prayed. I understood that I had to stop being selfish. I couldn’t have expected him to keep living with the kind of pain he was in. I loved my dad so much that I can never get closure, but I have come to terms with the fact that I couldn’t be present for his final rites. I have made peace with the situation rather than fight it."
Sana's father was a well-known Urdu poet, the actress shared that she wants to translate his poems in different languages. She stated, "I plan to translate his poems in different languages and release them. He was extremely passionate about poetry, and I feel responsible to ensure that his work reaches as many people as possible."

In an interview with the Hindustan Times, Sana had revealed how she had gotten the sad news of her father's demise while she was in Los Angeles. The actress had shared, "My dad was a diabetes patient, and this led to multiple organ failure. It was around 7 am in LA when I got the news and I wanted to rush back home and hug my mother and sisters. The circumstances under which I lost my father were very unfair. But I know in my heart that he was really suffering and he’s definitely in a better place now."
Sana had further stated that her family had performed her father's last rites on the same day. And cops even understood their loss and cooperated with them. She had said, "My family had decided to do the funeral on the same day and we had only three hours in hand. On their way, they were stopped by the cops to check, but after seeing the death certificate, they allowed them to go. Though I wasn’t there physically, my sister kept texting me every time during the ceremony."
