'Sanam Teri Kasam' Actress, Mawra Hocane Credits Husband, Ameer For The Film's Re-Release Success

Harshvardhan Rane and Pakistani actress, Mawra Hocane made their Bollywood debut in 2016 with the romantic drama, Sanam Teri Kasam. However, the film failed at the box office but gained popularity as an underrated gem upon its release on the OTT. Now, the film has got its most awaited re-release and has been breaking charts since. The film surpassed its original collection in just two days. Now, the female lead of the film, Mawra, has reacted to the re-release's success in an interview with Faridoon Shahryar.

Mawra Hocane credits her husband, Ameer Gilani for the film's success

Mawra Hocane got married to the love of her life in a dreamy and intimate wedding on February 5, 2025, to Pakistani actor, Ameer Gilani. Coincidently, her Bollywood debut film, Sanam Teri Kasam, was re-released in theatres on February 7, 2025. The film is finally getting its dues and has been performing better than new releases like Junaid Khan-Khushi Kapoor's Loveyapa and Himesh Reshammiya's Badass Ravikumar at the box office.

While Harshvardhan had already expressed his gratitude towards the audience for the immense love the film received, now, Mawra has also reacted to the same. During the conversation, she credited her husband for the success of the film and stated that it was the only thing that had changed in the past nine years. She added that she truly believes it is the marriage luck. She was quoted saying:

"To be honest, if the film has waited nine years to achieve these numbers, I think it's my husband bringing in the luck for sure. Because, the only thing that has changed since then is this (Mawra getting married). The film was always there, and everything was there. But I truly feel it's the marriage luck because it's literally the same dates."

Mawra Hocane says that she is grateful for the love she has received

In the same conversation, Mawra Hocane revealed that the love they have been receiving is unbelievable. She added that she is missing out on a lot but is grateful for whatever love she has been able to see. She also mentioned how, since the release of Sanam Teri Kasam, she has received a lot of love from India. She stated:

"Of course, it is unbelievable for me too, the love that we are receiving. I can see some things, and I am sure I am missing out on a lot. But all that I can see is very overwhelming. I can only be grateful for it."

Mawra Hocane is leading the headlines as she recently got married to her soulmate, Ameer Gilani, in Lahore.
