Trolling on social media has become a part and parcel of the daily lives of cricketers and with the advent of digitalisation, no celebrity is ever spared without trolling. Every now and then, we hear about a celebrity getting trolled for various reasons. From body shaming to the choice of their clothes, from their public appearances with their kids to their films, celebrities must be amused by now with the way netizens troll them. And the latest one in this list is Sania Mirza. (Suggested Read: Shah Rukh Khan And Son, Aryan Khan To Lend Their Voices For 'The Lion King' In Its Dubbed Version)
The ace-tennis star, Sania Mirza was spotted yesterday (June 16, 2019) with her husband, Shoaib Malik, and other Pakistani cricketers at a hookah bar. And this video went viral on social media, not because it was any cutesy but because Sania and Shoaib were spotted at the bar just a few hours before Pakistan was to play India in their world cup match yesterday (as many have claimed and others are suggesting that it was after the match)!

A journalist by the name of Mohammed Shafiq, took to Twitter to share the above video and captioned it as, "Shoaib Malik of the #pakistancricketteam at midnight, hours before the most crucial match of the #CricketWorldCup2019 In Curry Mile In a Shisha cafe. Add the burgers and desserts, no wonder they performed dismally at Old Trafford. They should be ashamed. Every single one of them."

Soon trolling started on social media, not only because it was irresponsible but also because Shoaib Malik hasn't been having a good run in the World Cup. Yesterday he was dismissed at a duck, and even in his previous matches, his performance has been mediocre. Take a look at how trolls bashed Sania and Shoaib:

Sania Mirza and Shoaib Malik have faced a lot of criticism in the past on social media. In fact, many had lashed at them when they had decided to get married as Sania is an Indian and Shoaib is a Pakistani. In an interview, talking about the same, Sania had shared, "People can date a person for years but break up as soon as they get married. It happens a lot in Hyderabad, and it happens in the circles we move around in. Some people can date each other for a month and get married. I know many couples like that and they have kids today. Destiny! We were lucky we found each other, decided quickly and felt the same way about one another.”
She had further added that the tags of 'Indian' and 'Pakistani' don't bother them. Sania was quoted as saying, "Tags are a part of being a public figure. I play for my country, my family, for myself, and so does my husband. We are aware of the responsibilities we carry, but we do not take these tags seriously. They may make for a good headline, but don’t mean anything to us at home!”
Sania and Shoaib recently completed 9 years of togetherness on April 12, 2019. Shoaib took to his Instagram handle to wish his wife, Sania, and posted a mushy picture with her. Along with the picture he had written, “Happy Anniversary jaan”, followed by a heart emoji.
