If one person takes hundreds of shots from different angles to get that one Insta-worthy picture, then imagine how much effort it would take to get a perfect family portrait. The Mirza family including the seniors, Imran Mirza and Nasima Mirza, their daughters, Sania Mirza and Anam Mirza, their sons-in-law, Shoaib Malik and Mohammad Asaduddin, and their adorable grandson, Izhaan Mirza Malik, tried to get a perfect family picture and ace tennis star gave a glimpse of behind-the-scenes. Sania, Shoaib and Izhaan reunited in Dubai after staying apart for a few months during the lockdown in 2020, and are now staying at their home in the UAE.
It was on April 12, 2010, when Indian tennis sensation and former World No. 1 doubles player, Sania Mirza and Pakistani cricketer and former captain, Shoaib Malik had said ‘Qubool Hai’ in a private wedding ceremony. To mark their eleventh wedding anniversary in 2021, Sania had posted two pictures with Shoaib, depicting their togetherness through the 'thick' and 'thin'. Wishing her 'main' on their eleventh anniversary, Sania had written, "Through ‘thick’ and ‘thin’ they said, through good and bad. Happy Anniversary to my main... to many more years of irritating you InshaAllah. 11 YEARS!!!" Shoaib, in his late anniversary post, wished his 'Bay-Ghum' and tweeted, "Oops ghalti se mistake hogaya...Wishing you a day late as always, love you @MirzaSania to the moon and back begum, Bay-Ghum."
Looks like the entire Mirza clan joined Sania Mirza, Shoaib Malik and Izhaan Mirza Malik in Dubai as they delighted their fans by posting the first-ever family picture on social media. It was always someone or the other missing from the family picture to make it a perfect one. But finally, the entire clan was together and Imran Mirza, Anam Mirza and Mohammad Asaduddin posted family pictures on their social media handles. Sania posted a BTS video on her IG feed, giving a glimpse of what clicking a family picture was like and expressed in her caption, " Phew that was tough... @realshoaibmalik @anammirzaaa @imranmirza58 @nasimamirza @izhaan.mirzamalik @asad_ab18." Feeling grateful, Anam captioned her post as " The mirza clan with all their additions. This is the first time our entire family is together in the same country/city/home so grateful! #alhamdulillah."
It was in September 2020 when Sania Mirza and Izhaan Mirza Malik had reunited with Shoaib Malik in Dubai and since then, they have been giving glimpses of their family moments on respective social media handles. Be it gazing at the Dubai skyline holding each other's hands, celebrating special occasions, enjoying the desert safari, or home-schooling Izhaan, Sania and Shoaib are making the most of their family time at their 'home away from home', Dubai.
In a post-wedding interview to India TV, Sania Mirza and Shoaib Malik were asked why they had chosen Dubai to be their home and not India or Pakistan. While Shoaib had retorted, "All our home series matches are being played in Dubai. Moreover, it is nearer to both our countries. As long as we are together, we will stay together, whether it is in India, or Pakistan or Dubai." Sania had added, "Dubai is a home away from home for us."
During the lockdown in 2020, when Sania Mirza and Shoaib Malik were in Hyderabad and Pakistan respectively, the couple had a virtual date. On Shoaib's IG LIVE session with wife, Sania, they had spilt some beans on their relationship, married life and their son, Izhaan Mirza Malik. When Shoaib had asked Sania if she wants one or more kids, Sania had replied, "Two, maybe. Even though you prefer one." To which, Shoaib probed, "Why not 5,6,7,8,9, 10?" Sania retorted, "Cricket team nahi banani. Aur bhi kaam hai." Sania and Shoaib's little bundle of joy, Izhaan Mirza Malik too, had delighted their fans a few times when he came in front of the camera to say hi to his baba.
We wish to see many more such beautiful moments of the family, now that everyone's together in the 'same country/city/home'.
