In an interview with Curly Tails, the actor said that his wife's beautiful village is situated somewhere near the India-Nepal border. Sanjay also revealed that before he met Kiran, he had never even heard about her birthplace.

In the same interview, Sanjay was joined by Kiran. When asked how they met and how their love story began, the couple revealed that they married first, and then 'love happened'. The actor said that they had an arranged marriage and mentioned that after his father passed away, Sanjay's mother wanted him to get married and start a family of his own. Talking about their marriage, Sanjay stated that meeting Kiran was in his 'kismat'. The actor shared that he was destined to find her among the mountains. As per reports, Sanjay and Kiran tied the knot in 2009.

Sanjay Mishra also revealed that his wife can read all his expressions in his movies. The actor revealed that while acting, he sometimes slips and smiles by mistake.
