Opinionated, sassy and unapologetic, Sara Ali Khan, daughter of Saif Ali Khan and Amrita Singh, garnered massive fan-following in her kitty with two back-to-back hit films - Abhishek Kapoor directorial, Kedarnath and Rohit Shetty’s Simmba. Saif and Amrita separated when Sara was just 9-year-old and her custody was given to her mother. Since the divorce, Amrita had raised their two children, Sara Ali Khan and Ibrahim Ali Khan on her own and they both are very close to their mother.
Time and again, star kid turned a star in herself, Sara Ali Khan had expressed her undying love for mother, Amrita Singh and how much she loves spending time with her. Be it her confidence or inherited looks, Sara had credited her mom for what she is today. In an interview with Harper's Bazaar India, Sara expressed her wish to spend her entire life with her mother, even after marriage. Sara said, "I intend to live with my mother for the rest of my life. She gets upset when I say that because she has this whole marriage plan for me, but she can also come with me no, what's the problem?"
While she loves spending time with mom, Amrita Singh, Sara Ali Khan is also scared of her. Elaborating on the same, Sara stated, "I love hanging out with her, and I miss her when she's away even for a few days. There's nothing I hide from her. But having said that, she's the only person I fear." Speaking about nepotism, Sara was quoted as saying, "The most negative connotation of nepotism is that people find an unfair, unearned, invalid, unnecessary advantage to somebody born in a family of actors." With Kedarnath and Simmba, Sara Ali Khan has proved her mettle as an actor and continued on the same lines, "From what I see, I’ve done my bit to prove that I may have what it takes. And I’ve managed, somewhat successfully, to disassociate from that word. If you can be appreciated for your work then none of this matters. I am immensely proud and grateful that I am their daughter, but I am on my way to establish an identity wherein there’s more to me. And this is just the beginning. I have a long, long, long way to go."
The mother-daughter duo, Amrita Singh and Sara Ali Khan’s features especially jawline and eyes are literally identical. And the star kid is often compared to her mother. Speaking on the same, Sara had stated, “I took a picture of me in purple lipstick and there was a picture of my mom thirty years ago in purple lipstick. It's more of DNA and chance. I felt 'Wow, we are doing the same thing' but I don't know about acting. She is an extremely fine actor and it will take me a long time to be compared to her.”
Sometime back, Sara Ali Khan’s Instagram post captioned as, “Here’s to new beginnings!” had churned the rumour mills stating that she had moved out of her mother, Amrita Singh’s house. But in an interview with the Bombay Times at the Nykaa Femina Beauty Awards 2019, Sara had clarified those speculations and had revealed the truth behind the photo she had posted on her Instagram handle. However, it turned out that all the exercise has been just for an ad campaign. The Kedarnath debutante also said that she does not intend to stop irritating her mother anytime soon because she don't think she can live without her mother.
