Amrita Singh and Saif Ali Khan's daughter, Sara Ali Khan is one of the much-loved star kids on the block. The actress already carved a space in the hearts of the audience with her masterclass performances. For the unversed, Amrita and Saif got married back in 1991 and welcomed two kids, Sara and Ibrahim. It was after several years of their marital bliss that Amrita and Saif called it quits. Since that time, Amrita has raised her kids single-handedly. Although, her mom and dad are divorced, Sara and Ibrahim share a good bond with Saif's family and their stepmom, Kareena Kapoor. In a recent interview, Sara revealed what kind of bonding Amrita shares with Saif's mom, Sharmila Tagore.
According to a report by The Times Of India, Sara Ali Khan recently attended an event in Delhi, where she shared what kind of equation her mom, Amrita Singh, shares with Saif's mom, and veteran actress, Sharmila Tagore. Sara said that although her parents have been divorced for 20 years now, her mom has an appropriate equation with Sharmila Tagore. Sara, at the event, said that although her mom doesn't have her parents, when anything would happen to her or Ibrahim, her badi amma would be there with Amrita, and that's how the latter is not alone. Sara said:
"My mom doesn’t have parents, but if anything were to happen to me or Ibrahim, I know that she wouldn’t be alone because Badi Amma will be there, and that’s everything.”

At the same event, Sara Ali Khan added that people must have a lot of cheerleaders when they achieve success, but in her case, when she needed tremendous support, her badi amma was there. Sara said that she had been through a tough phase in her life when Sharmila Tagore came like an army and supported her; that is when she understood the meaning of relationships more clearly. Sara can be quoted as saying:
"I went through a phase in life when I needed support and Badi Amma came like an army. She was there for me. In times like that, you realise the true value of relationships."
While promoting her film, Zara Hatke Zara Bachke in Kolkata, Sara Ali Khan talked about inheriting a pair of chandbalis from her badi amma, Sharmila Tagore. The actress added that those classy pairs of earrings were given to her mom by Sharmila Tagore after Ibrahim was born, and they were supposed to be in the possession of the latter's future wife. But Sara, being in awe of these earrings' charm, wanted them, and she also has a written declaration from her grandfather, wherein it is clearly stated that those earrings belong to Sara only.

While being on Koffee With Karan season 8, Sharmila Tagore talked about Amrita Singh and Saif Ali Khan's separation. The veteran actress added that each separation hurts, especially when a lovely couple with two adorable kids has to go their separate ways. It surely is hard, and Saif and Amirta were no exception. Sharmila added that Amrita needed time to cool down, and everyone was fond of the two little children, so it was a hard time.
