Sara Khan is a well-known name in the television fraternity. Over the years, she has made a name for herself with shows like Bay-Khudi, Sapna Babul Ka… Bidaai, Ram Milaye Jodi and many more. She had fallen in love inside the controversial show, Bigg Boss 4 with her co-contestant, Ali Merchant and had got married on national television. Unfortunately, things soon fell apart after coming out of the show.
Ali and Sara had parted ways on an ugly note and had got officially divorced in 2011. The ex-couple had reunited on the show, Lock Upp, but Sara made sure to keep a healthy distance from her ex-husband. Now, the actress has found love again in her pilot-boyfriend, Shantanu Raje, and is planning to get married soon.

In a recent conversation with ETimes, Sara Khan revealed that she had met her beau, Shantanu through mutual friends. However, it was only after one and a half years that romance between the two started brewing on a photo messaging app. Sara added that after chatting for some time, she decided to meet him. Even after getting to know each other, the soulmates tried to hide their true feelings from one another. In her words:
“Shantanu and I knew each other through common friends and would meet at parties but never really spoke with each other. After almost a year-and-half, we connected on a photo messaging application, got chatting and decided to meet. When we met, we instantly felt the connection but we weren’t ready to acknowledge it (smiles).”
Further in the conversation, Sara shared that she initially thought Shantanu was not interested in her. Sara added how she had gone to Rishikesh for a movie shoot, and her ignorance had made Shantanu disappointed. Sara can be quoted as saying:
“We felt that neither was interested in the other. A few days later, I was flying to Rishikesh for a film shoot, and that’s when he sent me a text message after reading my post on my social media account. However, I kept my answers to the point, which made him think that I was blowing him off. He decided to be direct about it and said that he wouldn’t bother me with messages and calls if I wasn’t interested. We met again when I came back and things just took off.”

For those who don't know, Sara Khan has been unlucky in love. Her first marriage to Ali Merchant in 2010 had held on national television. However, they parted ways within a month of their wedding. Hence, Sara took a reasonable amount of time before giving love a second chance. In the interview, Sara shared that she would probably tie the knot with Shantanu in 2023. She stated:
“People don’t think twice before trolling you for random reasons and giving you tags. I wanted to be sure about him and our relationship. It took me some time to trust another man completely! Shantanu is loving and caring. Shantanu has set a few goals to accomplish, and once that is done, we will exchange nuptial vows. Hopefully, in 2023!”
We are eagerly waiting for Sara and Shantanu to tie the knot!
