Sara Ali Khan is one of the most followed young actresses in Bollywood. She is the daughter of Saif Ali Khan and Amrita Singh, and has won admiration for her work, style, and impressive interviews. Sara turned 29, a few months ago and is still trying to find a more exciting opportunities in the industry. In a recent interview, she shared why she felt envious of Alia Bhatt when she won the national award and a lesson she learned from it.
Alia Bhatt has won hearts with her impressive filmography and was awarded the National Award for Best Actress in 2023, which has elevated her stature. In a recent interview at NDTV Yuva, Sara Ali Khan recalled the Jigra actress's achievements and how she has succeeded in her personal and professional life. For those unaware, 2022 was an exceptional year for Alia when Gangubai Kathiawadi was released in February, and she tied the knot to Ranbir Kapoor in April 2022 and welcomed her daughter, Raha Kapoor, in November 2022. Recalling the same, Sara Ali Khan said:
"When Alia got the National Award, I was like, 'God she got it, she has a kid also, her life is set."
Sara explained that everyone saw Alia's inspiring success with her achievements. Still, as an individual, no one knows her challenges or the disappointments she overcame to reach that place in her career. She highlighted that people often envy others because they see the success of others but fail to know their journey due to a lack of information. Highlighting how people never see the complete reality in the blindness of envy, She said:
"But I don't know what she went through to get that. I, as an actor, de-humanised her. You don't know, she must have had challenges and disappointments too, to reach where she has. But I didn't realise what went into it. There are two sides to every coin."
Sara Ali Khan became a household name after people connected with her girl-next-door vibe. While Sara appreciates the love she got, the actress is looking forward to more exciting opportunities in her career. During the same interview, she was asked about the themes on which she would like to make movies. In her reply, Sara shared her desire to work with Sanjay Leela Bhansali and Zoya Akhtar and said:
"Our country has so many stories, and there was a point where I would want to be a queen in a Sanjay Leela Bhansali film and a modern girl in a Zoya Akhtar film. And both are still true. I just want to depict stories of a Modern Indian girl who has dreams, aspirations, and everything; I want to represent that."
Sara Ali Khan made an impressive debut with Abhishek Kapoor's Kedarnath opposite the late Sushant Singh Rajput. She went on to work in films like Simmba, Love Aaj Kal, Coolie No.1, Atrangi Re, Gaslight, Zara Hatke, Zara Bachke and more. The actress was last seen in Skyforce alongside Veer Pahariya and Akshay Kumar.
