In a throwback interview with India Forums, Ravi Dubey had elaborated on the dream proposal and had revealed, “Finding the perfect ring for her was a task. Sargun was shell shocked. She had no clue about it. She was happy, dumbfounded, tongue-tied. I will always remember her expression. I decided all this in a very limited span of time. First, I arranged for Sargun's mom to come to Mumbai, who, in turn, convinced her dad to also come along. Then I put them in a hotel. Arranging for all this with Sargun being around me 24x7 for the rehearsals wasn't easy as Sargun is extremely sharp. To pull it through was a task in itself." There have been rumours and speculations about Sargun Mehta and Ravi Dubey embracing parenthood soon, but the duo has been refuting the same. In an interview with BollywoodLife, Ravi had talked about family planning rumours and had shared, “No such plans at all. I think we are each other’s baby Dubey and baby Mehta. Since the beginning, ‘Choti and Badi,’ next January our courtship and marriage combined, I will complete ten years of knowing Sargun.” He had also revealed how they find some ‘us time’ despite their hectic shoot schedules and long hours of travel for work commitments.
Ravi Dubey had revealed further, “Honestly, Sargun is very busy nowadays. It is hard to find a lot of time with her. But when we are together, we do discuss work and films. We are each other's biggest support and critics. We rip each other apart if we do not like something or a performance.” Answering the question, whether we will spot them together in one frame, Ravi had stated, “As producers, we are already collaborating, there is another film on floors. I’d be extremely fortunate to collaborate with an actor like Sargun. I am yet to see someone as amazing as her. She has won all the awards in the Punjabi industry. I’d love to, but as of now, there is no such opportunity. We don’t get to spend time together, maybe when we do a film together we’ll get some time together.”
Talking about their relationship after marriage, Sargun Mehta had once stated with an entertainment portal, “We are still more like friends in all the stages of our relationship. We do not take too much space in each other’s life. We like giving each other space if we want to go out alone respectively, we go. We can talk about a hot girl/guy without having to think twice. So it’s more like friends.
