Satish Shah, the veteran actor who had entertained the audience with his comic timing and strong screen presence, left for the heavenly abode on October 25, 2025. According to multiple sources, the Hum Aapke Hain Koun..! actor passed away due to kidney failure. Earlier this year, he also underwent a kidney transplant at the age of 74, in order to take care of his wife, Madhu, who is suffering from Alzheimer's. The funeral was held in Mumbai on October 26, 2025. Now, after the last rites, his family has organised a prayer meet.
On October 26, 2025, Sarabhai vs Sarabhai producer, JD Majethia took to his Instagram handle and shared details about the beloved actor’s prayer meet. According to the note shared by JD Majethia, the prayer meet will be held tomorrow, on October 27, 2025, at Jalaram Hall, Juhu, Mumbai. The event will run from 5:30 pm to 7:30 pm. The note can be read as:
"Our beloved Satish Shah. We gather to celebrate the life and creative spirit of a man whose life has touched hearts, inspired many minds, and brought beauty to the film world. Shraddhanjali Kriya. Date: Monday, 27th October, 2025. Venue: Jalaram Hall, Juhu."

The disheartening news of Satish Shah’s demise was confirmed by filmmaker, Ashoke Pandit. A few hours after the tragic demise of Satish, Ashoke took to his Instagram handle and shared that the Sarabhai vs Sarabhai actor passed away due to kidney failure. Ashoke disclosed that the veteran actor was rushed to Hinduja Hospital in Mumbai, where he took his last breath. Ashoke wrote:
"Sad and shocked to inform you that our dear friend and a great actor Satish Shah has expired few hours ago due to kidney failure. He was rushed to Hinduja hospital where he breathed his last. A great loss to our industry. Om Shanti. Satish’s Resident address. Satish shah 201/202 Gurukul 14 kalanagar Bandra East Mumbai 400051."

Along with the note, the filmmaker also shared a heartfelt video. In the clip, Ashoke mentioned that Satish fell ill at home, and then rushed to Mumbai’s Hinduja Hospital. According to multiple reports, the hospital authorities disclosed that Satish was unresponsive even after CPR was given to him in an ambulance. Ashoke was quoted as saying:
"I would like to share a sad news with you. Our friend, a great actor, Satish Shah, has passed away due to kidney failure. A while ago, he suddenly fell ill at home. He was taken to the Hinduja Hospital, Shivaji Park. He has passed away. His body will be brought to his residence in Bandra. I will keep you informed about his funeral. It is a huge loss for our industry. I have worked a lot with Satish. Satish is a great man."

Satish was a popular Indian actor who ruled both the TV and film industry. He gained fame for his impeccable comic timing and versatility on-screen. Born into a Gujarati family in Mumbai, the Sarabhai vs Sarabhai star appeared in over 250 films and several TV shows.

He rose to prominence with Yeh Jo Hai Zindagi and became a household name with his role 'Indravadan Sarabhai' in Sarabhai vs Sarabhai. He appeared in many hit films, including Jaane Bhi Do Yaaro, Kal Ho Naa Ho, Hum Aapke Hain Koun..!, and Main Hoon Na. In 2008, he co-judged the TV show, Comedy Circus alongside Archana Puran Singh.
