Satish Shah, the veteran actor known for his comic timing and versatility, left for the heavenly abode on October 25, 2025. According to multiple reports, the Sarabhai vs Sarabhai actor passed away at the age of 74, due to kidney failure. On October 26, 2025, many celebrities from the TV and film industry attended his funeral to pay their last respects to the late actor. His Sarabhai vs Sarabhai co-stars, Rajesh Kumar, Rupali Ganguly, and Sumeet Raghavan, became emotional as they bid him goodbye. On October 27, 2025, a prayer meet was organised in Mumbai.
The untimely demise of Satish is indeed shocking and heartbreaking for his family and friends. After the funeral, the family organised a prayer meet on October 27, 2025. Satish’s wife, Madhu, who is battling Alzheimer's, was seen arriving at the prayer meet with a few women, who seemed to be her friends and family members.

She looked sad and appeared emotional as she entered the Jalaram Hall in Juhu, Mumbai. On October 26, 2025, the producer of the iconic TV show, Sarabhai vs Sarabhai, JD Majethia, took to his Instagram handle and shared details about the prayer meet. The note shared by him can be read as:
"Our beloved Satish Shah. We gather to celebrate the life and creative spirit of a man whose life has touched hearts, inspired many minds, and brought beauty to the film world. Shraddhanjali Kriya. Date: Monday, 27th October, 2025. Venue: Jalaram Hall, Juhu."

In a recent interview with News 18 Showsha, Sachin Pilgaonkar revealed that earlier this year, in 2025, the Sarabhai vs Sarabhai actor underwent a kidney transplant to take care of his ailing wife, Madhu, who has been battling Alzheimer’s. Recalling the moments when Madhu and Satish used to attend movie premieres, Sachin shared that the couple have been extremely warm and lovable, and now that Satish has passed away, the celebrations will be incomplete. He was quoted as saying:
"Satish and Madhu have always been extremely warm and lovable. We saw to it that we invited them to the premieres of all our films. And now, I’m wondering how we can celebrate events without him! Unfortunately, even Madhu isn’t well. She has Alzheimer’s. This year, Satish got his kidney transplanted. He wanted to extend his life so that he could take care of Madhu. He was on dialysis. Earlier, he underwent a bypass surgery, which was successful."

In a recent interview with Hindustan Times, David Dhawan remembered the late actor. The director shared that Satish used to get his dialysis done from Mumbai’s Leelavati Hospital. However, the problem started after his kidney transplant. He was quoted as saying:

"I have such great memories with him. He used to get his dialysis done from Leelavati Hospital in Mumbai. If I would be shooting in Mehboob Studios, I used to ask him 'aayega?' he used to come and meet everyone on set! He was perfectly okay, but the problem started after the kidney transplant. He was in Kolkata too for some time."
