As the group's founding editor, he helped Lallantop become one of the most famous digital platforms. He was associated with the India Today Group and became the features editor at Aajtak.

Following this, he became one of the group's editorial leaders. With his resignation, Kuldeep Mishra will take charge of Lallantop’s editorial team, while Rajat Sain will be in the production team. After 12 years, Saurabh Dwivedi parted ways with the India Today Group and, as shared in an email, will now explore new opportunities across a diverse range of fields. How much Saurabh Dwivedi earned from Lallantop?

As a kid, Saurabh was reportedly very camera-shy and was nervous around the other kids. During the MA in Hindi literature, one of his professors reportedly asked him to try his hand at journalism, being impressed by his writing style. He joined India Today Group as a feature editor in Aajtak and eventually founded Lallantop. The actual salary he got from his own media house isn't known.

However, Ambition Box reported that the salary range for higher positions at Lallantop is Rs. 11.5 lakh per annum. Given that Saurabh was the founding editor, it's very clear he had a pretty glamorous package from his own media house. The amount has never been disclosed officially. On the other hand, reports in Tp5.in claimed that by 2025, his net worth had reached Rs. 30-50 crore, which remains unverified. Another report from sites like Matlabi News estimated Saurabh's net worth for the year at around Rs. 10 crore.

To announce his quit, he took to his X and shared a poetic note that spoke about gratitude, lessons, and the journey ahead. Now, the question among people is what led Saurabh to quit. There's no official confirmation just yet; however, several theories are surfacing, and one of them is that his last show was on January 2, 2026, wherein he talked about polluted water warnings in MP that killed 15 people in Indore, which he also linked with a political party.
