Savannah Guthrie's second husband, Michael Feldman, comes from a political background. He earlier worked as a Democratic political aide for eight years in the Clinton-Gore White House. He has served various roles for Vice President Al Gore. He has also worked as one of the chief liaisons to Congress for the Clinton Administration. Before that, he had worked as a legislative analyst for the Senate Democratic Leadership's Democratic Policy Committee. In addition, he was part of the Democratic floor staff. 

However, over time, Feldman stepped away from politics and started his business consulting practice. He worked as a consultant. He is also a founding partner and the North American co-chairman of FGS Global, an international communications, consulting, and advocacy firm. According to his biography, Michael Feldman also co-founded the public relations firm Glover Park Group in 2001. It was later merged with other consulting firms to create FGS. In line with his specialisation, he handles communication strategy for a variety of corporations, nonprofits, advocacy organisations, and individuals. He is also known for his work in the entertainment industry.

How did Savannah Guthrie meet her second husband, Michael Feldman?

Savannah Guthrie and Michael Feldman met in October 2008. The Today host attended his 40th birthday party and was there with a mutual friend. At that time, she was undergoing a separation from Mark Orchard, and they officially divorced in 2009. Later the same year, Savannah Guthrie started dating Michael Feldman. According to Savannah, she met a political consultant at a party who made her laugh. It was enough for her to fall in love again.

Talking about their engagement, they had a funny story: the two had broken up the same day Feldman got down on one knee and proposed to Savannah. In 2019, she revealed that they were on a vacation in Turks and Caicos. They were at a point when they didn't think that they would get married. However, during the trip, Savannah asked Feldman to decide whether to marry or end things. However, Feldman told her to spend the day with him, as he had already made up his mind and was going to propose to her. Guthrie recalled:

"It got to the point where no one thought we were ever going to get married — including us, especially including me. We were kind of at that point in life where it was like, we're either going to have to decide to get married or we're just going to have to love each other but let each other go."

Feldman convinced her to spend the day with her. While she was worrying about their future, he had already purchased a ring for her. As the sun went down on the shores, Michael proposed to Savannah, and she said yes within 0.2 seconds. The host announced her big news on the show, Today and joked that their families have been in-laws for years, but they were just waiting for them to catch up. Guthrie and Feldman were married in March 2014 in an intimate ceremony with around 80 to 90 guests. After exchanging their vows, the two announced their first pregnancy as Savannah was expecting her first child. Savannah and Michael's family has two children — one daughter and a son.
