Saweety Boora-Deepak Hooda Divorce: Former Boxer Reveals Of Not Wanting Alimony, 'Rakshash Se..'

Saweety Boora, who is India's former world champion boxer, has been hogging the limelight after a clip went viral where she was seen attacking, Kabaddi player Deepak Niwas Hooda, her husband. The incident took place at Haryana's Hisar on March 15, 2025. Saweety has claimed to have filed for divorce amid harassment and assault over dowry matters. Now, in a recent clip, Saweety could be seen addressing to the media that she does not need any alimony amount from Deepak but wants a divorce.

A video went viral where Saweety was seen pouncing at Hooda while they were having a conversation. She held him by the throat in the court and the family members had to intervene as fights between the two continued inside the police station. Now, in a recent interview to the press, Saweety cried and said that she only wants separation from Deepak. She shared that her only mistake was she raised her voice against the atrocities she faced. In her words:

"Mei ussei ek paisa bhi nai mangri hu. Mujhe nyay mile. Meri galti yahi hai ki mere khilaf jurmo ki khilaf aawaz uthayi. Aur ussei maine sare apne evidence ko court mei bhi de dia hai. 13 tareek ko maine court mei divorce ka case bhi file kar dia hai aur woh meko pressurise kar raha hai ki mei divorce na lu aur enke khilaf na bolu. Mei chahti hu ki mere khilaf jo jurum hua hai uska badla bhagwan apne aap le lenge. Lekin mujhe uss rakshash se chutkara chahiiye."

In the video further, Saweety shared that she did not want Deepak's money as she is not a beggar and can earn her bread and butter. She has the blessings of God who has bestowed her the courage to make her earn a living. She just wants justice to be served. Saweety earlier in a clip also claimed that Deepak was into men. In her words:

"I don't want to talk about such things. He has interest in boys. I have seen the videos. I was shocked. I will prove everything in court. I will give all the evidence. I will prove what all things he made me do. I wanted a simple divorce. I can't even talk about such things with my parents. But this person has done such things, which has made me speak on social media."

It was in 2022 when Saweety lodged a complaint and a FIR against Deepak in Haryana's Hisar. An SHO of the women's police department in Hisar said that an FIR dated February 25, 2025 was lodged based on the complaint given by Saweety Boora against her husband Deepak Hooda. When he was not present at the police station, he shared in a statement of having submitted a medical certificate and requested a later date. In his words:

"I will certainly go there (to the police station) but I won't make a negative comment against my wife. I have not been allowed to meet her."
