Even recently, King Charles applauded the contribution of K-pop to the modern world. He talked about how BTS’ craze is similar to that of yesteryear’s popular rock band, The Beatles.
The K-pop band, Bangtan Boys, aka BTS, has emerged as one of the best from the Hallyu showbiz. They have broken several records and have various accolades to their name. BTS has, in a way, paved the way for K-pop to be present on the global stage. Naturally, they have fans worldwide, and even some stalwarts from the entertainment industry have become ARMY (BTS’ fan club), one such name is the American actress-singer, Selena Gomez.

There is no doubt that Selena Gomez is one of the notable singers in the global pop industry. She enjoys fan following in millions and is the most-followed woman on Instagram. Imagine someone of such stature being a fangirl of the K-pop boy band, BTS. She is a huge fan of the seven Korean boys and has time and again expressed her admiration for them.
Among the seven members, Kim Namjoon, Kim Seokjin, Min Yoongi, Jung Hoseok, Park Jimin, Kim Taehyung and Jeon Jung Kook, the golden maknae of BTS, that is, Jungkook has a special place in Selena's heart. The 26-year-old BTS star has garnered immense popularity with his recent album, Golden, and people have started calling him the new ‘King of Pop’. He has established his name amongst the biggies like Taylor Swift, Justin Bieber, Charlie Puth, Selena Gomez, and more.
BTS has gained a massive following in the Western world since their first win at the Billboard Music Awards in 2017. It surprised both 'ARMYs' and 'Selenators' when Selena Gomez expressed her heartfelt desire to sing with the K-pop group, BTS. Moreover, the Single Soon singer also playfully requested Jungkook to text her. She said:
“I want to sing with BTS. They are brilliant guys. Jungkook, text me.”

Well, this was not the only occasion when Selena Gomez professed her love for the K-pop boy band, BTS. The Who Says singer once sent the netizens into a meltdown when she proclaimed her love and affection for the South Korean septet, saying, “I Love BTS” during an Instagram live session.
The American singer, Selena Gomez, released her song, Single Soon, in August 2023, after which she was seen in the recently concluded season 3 of Only Murders In The Building. Previously, some reports suggested that the singer is working on her next studio album. Selena also had her hands full with some charity work with her beauty brand, Rare Beauty.
On the other hand, BTS, as a group, is on a hiatus til 2025 as they have to undergo compulsory military service. However, Jimin, Taehyung, and Jungkook released their solo albums and songs before announcing their military enlistment.
