Shah Rukh Khan is known to live a life albeit king-size in every manner possible. Apart from being the heartthrob of millions of fans, SRK is an equally doting family man for his wifey, Gauri Khan and their kids, Aryan, Suhana and AbRam. The actor has worked hard right from day one to suffice his family with all kinds of comforts and luxury, and an epitome of the same is visible through his iconic bungalow, Mannat in Mumbai, which has been exceptionally designed by his wife, Gauri. While his Mumbai home is quite famous and is every tourist’s prime attraction in the city, it is his lesser-known palatial abode in Dubai that is almost its equivalent. And now, take a look at some of the rare glimpses of SRK and Gauri Khan’s Dubai home.
To begin with, SRK and Gauri’s abode is situated on the private island called K Frond in Dubai’s Palm Jumeirah area. This place is known to be the largest artificial archipelago in the world to have ever been created. Named as Jannat, which rhymes with the name of their Mumbai home, the property was gifted to the celeb couple by Nakheel, a Dubai-based property developer in the year 2007, after he acquired its rights from the Reserve Bank Of India.

Coming to the facts and figures about the luxurious space that the Khans call their abode, the Jannat villa is spread over a plot area of 14,000 square feet, of which the residence itself is present in about 8500 square feet. The rest is covered in plush lawns and varieties of exterior spots which according to a report in GQ India, is open and accessible to all. Moreover, according to another report, the price of the villa is estimated to be around a whopping 2.8 million dollars, which converts to Rs 18 crores.
Coming to the interiors of the space, Jannat is primarily spaced out as a six-bedroom villa and two remote-controlled garages. Moreover, it also consists of a plethora of other top-notch luxurious amenities, that include a private pool and even a beach, which has arrangements and amenities for a private fishing and other water sport experience. On the other hand, the most eye-candy part of the villa is the fact that it offers a scenic view of the Dubai skyline, which in fact, is a personal favourite of Gauri Khan herself.
Once in an interview with Gulf News, Gauri Khan had given a special scoop about her Dubai residence and called it a spot for her family to spend their leisure time and arrange for reunions with friends. Revealing how the Khans consider UAE as their favourite getaway spot, she revealed:
“The year-end is a time for togetherness, family and celebrations. The UAE is one of our favourite getaways as a family. It’s an easy flight and Dubai has so much for everyone to do, it’s lovely for a reunion. Also, we have many friends here and so it’s lovely to catch up.”

In another segment of the interview, Gauri spoke about why she decided to plan a home in Dubai, in response to which, the star-wife listed out the reasons as to why she considers the city as her favourite. Revealing her love for the exclusive Dubai skyline, she mentioned:
“We all love Dubai, and visit often, so it makes sense to have a home here. I love the exclusivity of the villas, the beautiful view of the Dubai skyline, and the facilities — from the beaches to its clubs and resorts. It’s a unique place to buy a home.”
Being an interior designer as well, Gauri Khan revealed how she had planned her Dubai home in a very casual manner and considers it as their holiday home. Moreover, she revealed how whenever they visit their Dubai home, they love to enjoy the beach side and take part in a lot of beach-side activities. In her words:
“Our home in Dubai is a beach house, so it’s more casual and not formal in its tone. It’s a holiday home. We are mostly in the pool or on the beach or in the sun. It’s an outdoor place for the family. So, there are mudbikes, a boat, football posts, and the pool is heated. Mannat is home.”
Going further in the interview, Gauri Khan spilt beans about that one favourite spot of herself and her hubby, SRK in their home in Dubai and revealed how the actor loves to spend his time on a couch with a cup of tea in the room that overlooks the garden and sea-side. In her words:
“There are many. But we both love the couch in this one corner in the living room that overlooks the garden and the sea. It’s a lovely place to relax with a cup of tea.”
Gauri Khan has taken an active part in the designing of both her Dubai and Mumbai homes. Speaking about the former, she revealed how they had mingled some of the original fittings of the villa and have instead merely furnished it with items picked up from all over the world. She also spoke about how the entire design preference of the place speaks of ease and relaxation merged with comfort. In her words:
“We have retained the villa’s original floor, ceiling and wall covers. I have, over time, styled the villa with pieces of furniture from my travels and those created at my design studio. My design preference tends towards warmth, comfort and minimalism. This is a place where the family converges for holidays, kids are back from boarding schools and so on, so the focus is ease.”
