Recently, we stumbled upon a rare video clip of Shah Rukh Khan from one of his old interviews. In the throwback video, we could see Shah Rukh performing Diwali puja with his wife, Gauri Khan and their kids, Suhana Khan and Aryan Khan. Along with the family, we could also spot a Hindu priest standing and performing the puja with all the necessary rituals. In the background, we could hear Shah Rukh heaping praise of his son, Aryan Khan, as he had told the priest that his son knowns the whole Gayatri Mantra. After which, Gauri had said, "Main puja yehi (Aryan) karega."
Soon, a little Aryan Khan donning a red colour printed t-shirt had started performing the rituals as per the priest's constant directions. Meanwhile, in his interview, Shah Rukh Khan had continued and opened up about the importance of teaching his kids, Aryan and Suhana, about the value of God, irrespective of religion. He had said:
"Children should know about the value of God whether it's a Hindu God or a Muslim God. So next to the Ganesha and Laxmi, we have the Quaran also there. And we put our hands together and say the Gayatri Mantra, which my son says, and I BIsmillah with him."

Going further in the video, Shah Rukh Khan had also admitted that he isn't a huge follower of religion and had also added that his parents had never forced him to read namaz five times a day. He had explained:
"It makes me feel very emotional, when I'm teaching my children something that I also don't know very well. I'm not a great follower of religion, but I believe in Allah very strongly. But I have never been forced by my parents to read the namaz five times a day."
This isn't the first time when Shah Rukh Khan has impressed everyone with his thoughts on religion. The kind of teaching he and his wife, Gauri Khan, had given to their kids, Suhana and Aryan, about different religions and God is quite inspiring. Last year, during his appearance on the sets of the dance reality show, Dance Plus 5, Shah Rukh had recalled the time when Suhana had asked him about their religion. Narrating the whole incident, he had said:
“Jab wo school gae to school me wo bharna padta hai ki religion kya hai. To jab meri beti choti thi, usne aa ke pucha bhi mujhse ek baar, ‘papa hum kaun se religion ke hain?’ Maine usme ye likha ki hum Indian hi hain yaar, koi religion nahi hai. Aur hona bhi nahi chahiye.”
